I’ve used this app paid version for years and it is the first place I look for a recipe.
I’ve added my own additional recipes when needed and this keeps all my recipes organized in one place. Thankfully this app makes mealtime manageable!

Paid for pro - still ads!
Paid for pro to remove the many annoying ads that take up most of the phone screen and hide the recipe, but it did not and I still have ads with no change. Not worth paying from pro.
Poor App Integration Design Choice
Registers as a background receiver, so the recipes are imported silently and stored before you see anything. They are then hard to find when you go to the app. ReciMe has a much better design.
My go-to
I’ve been using BigOven for years, it is great to have my cookbook on my phone going everywhere with me. I have saved many favorite recipes and downloaded some as well.

Been using pro version for years. Keep all my recipes here. Love the personal folders.
App is buggy of late
I’m a paying customer and the app is unacceptable at present. My folders don’t stay sorted. Sometimes they are alphabetized, sometimes not. Even back and forth. Totally random. I cannot always edit my recipes. When adding a new recipe in the app—your own, or from outside Big Oven—it kicks you to the website within the app. Trying to use the web-based tool from within the app involves pinching, zooming, difficulties highlighting text…
As the app is essential on mobile—and as it’s a far weaker experience than the desktop version—I can no longer positively rate Big Oven.

I use BigOven for my entire recipe library. It is an excellent app. The only improvement I can think of would be if my recipe library was available offline.
