This update fixes the most common reasons BimmerFix could not connect to your car. We went through the real connection data from the app and tracked each one down. ENET cables • No more endless "Connecting" spinner. If the car does not answer, you get a clear reason within seconds. • Tries both the standard and G-series ports automatically. • Searches for your car when it is not at the default address, including over USB-C Ethernet adapters while your phone is on WiFi. • Fixed ENET connections being sent to your WiFi router instead of your car. Bluetooth adapters • Many ELM327 clones that could not connect before, including Vgate and HM-10 based adapters, should now connect. • Bluetooth errors now tell you what went wrong, such as Bluetooth being off or the adapter being out of range. Also in this update • Retrying a connection no longer fails with an "address already in use" error. • Switching adapter types no longer reuses the previous adapter's address. • Scans that find no modules now explain why. • Clearing fault codes now tells you why a module refused. • Founding Member access is no longer lost after restoring purchases, and it comes back after a reinstall when you sign in. • Sign-in is more reliable after the app has been in the background. • Fixed a crash when connecting with no adapter address saved. • A new What's New screen shows what changed after each update.
