Resumes, ceremonial envelopes, New Year’s cards, greeting letters—there are moments when you suddenly think, “I wish I could write more neatly.” Bimoji Story is a practice app that lets you refine your writing during spare moments, set within a calm, traditional Japanese aesthetic. By writing while looking at model examples specially created by professional calligraphers, your handwriting is immediately scored out of 100 points. The app also shows specific tips on how to get closer to the model, making it easy to understand what to fix. Stroke order is checked as well, so you don’t just improve the shape, but also learn the fundamentals properly. Aim for 90 points or higher to earn the “Beautiful Handwriting” rating. The difference between your first score and your highest score is visualized as your growth score, and results can be viewed at a glance in a list.
