Exacting App

This literally does what it says and no more. It has worked flawlessly for years, keeping the peace in our house.

Essential

I might have already written a review for this app, but it’s just so essential to my functioning as a human being that I felt the need to add another review.

It’s easy to use and does everything I could want. One request? More icons or ability to add custom icons. For example I have 2 different “recycling” schedules but there’s only really one applicable icon for both of them (luckily I can make the colours different).

Superb

Simple but 100% effective. Would love it if it had a pink colour option for my pink week collection of plastics - but that’s the Virgo in me! Brilliant app

Simple and really helpful

I can never remember which bins should go out. This simple app keeps out of they way, and provides a nice notification the night before reminding me which bin should go out. Developer is amazing, and actually answers if you raise any questions. What a great little app.

Become the streets binfluencer!

The app just does what you want it to……..remind you what bin and when to put out (I’ll refrain from the paint reference).
After downloading it takes a few minutes to set up and voila, no more looking at ragged pieces of paper on a notice board or waiting for neighbours to put out their bin.
Now, I have become the “binfluencer” on the street as I won’t forget a collection again.
Thanks for a great and simple app that just works.

Back in time machine

Be good to know what was last weeks bin schedule on the calendar

Bin Collection calendar perfection

Does EXACTLY what it says on the tin. I emailed developer because my glass recycling bin was on an 8 weekly schedule and lo and behold the app now has this ability. Perfect app.

An essential tool

Putting out the trash is tedious and while the collection company here has an app with reminders, there are no widget or Apple Watch support. So recreating the schedule here is easy and useful.

Great utility for busy people. I use it every week.

Missing a pick up can be problematic at times.

Perfection that keeps improving

I've been using this App for a few years now. At the start it was good, but in need of a few minor improvements. The Author is "user friendly" and has an open ear.
The App soon improved and did what I needed, and more. I would be lost without it now. It's so much easier having a purpose made App than lots of entries in Calendar that take the focus away from other things.

Fixed, widgets appeared after a reboot.

editing my Home Screen to add, no widget shows up. I’ve tried searching “bin” and scrolling through the list. Running 14.5.1.
Update: I noticed the app wasn’t appearing in App Library so I rebooted and it’s resolved the widget issue. Blaming iOS rather than this app.

Best bin alert by far

So simple it’s genius! I love this app. It is so easy to use and there are a selection of coloured icons to correspond with which flavour your bin is and you can name your icon to match what is in the bin. It's brilliant and you know exactly what bins are going out on which night. I am the bin collection oracle of the street and my neighbours put their bins out in accordance with mine! I 100% recommend this app.

Excellent app, does exactly what it’s supposed to, and oh so easy to use.

Bin day sorted

I've had this app for a couple of months now and wanted to say how great it is.
I originally purchased it whilst on a bullet train in China, the app size being so small was the first thing I was impressed with, this guy is a good coder and hasn't bloated up the app with needless code/graphics.
I was originally stuck on how to setup the timings of my 3 bins but the developer (Geoff via email) helped me understand my own bin schedule (now that is above and beyond and I am very grateful).
It's got alerts for my phone and watch and here's the thing it does what it says on the tin, reliable and just works.

As a request It would be great for the app icon to be the colour of my Bin when the alert arrives.

Fantastic app worth the money IMO.

Response from developer

Thanks for the great review; I'm glad you are finding the app useful. The app's icon is shown in notifications so I can't vary that depending on which bin schedule the notification is for. In fact, a single notification could be referring to multiple bin schedules with different icons/colours. More recent iOS versions do allow developers to provide rich notification content, so there's maybe something I could do there to improve things. I've added it to my todo list to investigate further.

A must have!

Easy to use and simple to set up! A must!

Very basic app

So basic especially considering it’s not free. Not even a calendar view. Inputting the schedules isn’t as easy as it could be

Response from developer

The app is designed to remind you when to put out your bins for collection and which type(s) of bins are due. In my opinion, the only thing that matters is when the next collection date is for each schedule. A calendar view would be a lot of work and add no real value to the app. Inputting schedules is a little complex because the app supports such a wide variety of repeating schedules. Some of the configuration questions depend on the answers to other questions. This only needs to be done once. Like most people, I think my time and effort has value and I don't work for free. The app is paid because it would make no sense to have ads in an app you almost never need to open (since it's driven off notifications). The app has a Today Widget, a Watch App and custom Siri shortcuts (e.g. "Hey Siri, when is the next bin day"). If you have trouble remembering when to put bins out or whether this week is recycling or general waste, I think a single one-off payment of a few pounds is a small price to pay for an app that will help you every week for many years to come. If you disagree, you can delete the app and ask Apple for a refund.

Most useful app on my phone

Perfectly simple, wouldn’t change anything

Response from developer

Thanks for that. Tell your friends!
