Bad AI grading

I AI graded my card and all of them got a nine and then I destroyed a bad card and it got it too. That is right but the other ones are not because they all got nines and that is not true because they are in perfect pristine condition this app I do not recommend because how bad it is picking their app and pay the money. This app is not worth it. Don’t waste your time.

Response from developer

Hey can you please reach out to me at support@binder-ai.com and share the images of the cards you graded? I would like to look into this issue and get it resolved. From my own testing both models have been able to accurately assess damaged cards. Thank you, Anthony

Created binders

Can no longer put cards into created binders. Still has the option, but says folders are not found. Also could an option for sorting by set and card number also be included?

Response from developer

Hey Stets5150, I’m going to work on fixing that right now! Feel free to reach out at support@binder-ai.com or globaldominancellc@proton.me. I’m going to fix this asap! For set and card number I think card recognition has to improve before I’d feel comfortable rolling that out. I’m in the midst of working on an improved card recognition system. If the results are good enough I will add that feature. Appreciate the feedback & your support! Anthony UPDATE: This bug has been fixed! Thanks for letting me know about it

Centering is useless

The centering is way off because even a white border card on a black background cannot recognize the card edges. It gives you an opportunity to regrade the centering but you can’t zoom in at all so that is useless. I ran cards from the same vintage set, one with very high gloss still and one very scuffed. Both scored the same for surface. Ai it’s the way to go but it’s still got a long way to go.

Response from developer

Hey Don! Thanks for the feedback I’ll work on adding Zoom to the re-grade centering feature! That’s a great idea tbh. Also please send a pic of those cards to me at globaldominancellc@proton.me or support@binder-ai.com and it’ll help me figure out how to improve the model. Thank you for supporting the app and I’ll work hard to make this a better experience for you, Anthony UPDATE: Hey Don, manually re-grading will have a zoom feature when version 1.5.3 is released this week! Thank you again for the suggestion and feedback.

Helpful but inconsistent

The app is ok. If you’re intending to use it in the way that most people would (grading cards before sending in), look elsewhere. While the ai can scan the card better than the naked eye, it gives very questionable scores pretty consistently. I have card that have graded as 10s and were ~8s on the app. The feedback is helpful when you miss something, which is why I’m giving two stars. Unfortunately, I bought an annual subscription and only used for two and a half months

Response from developer

Hey Doug Dimmadome owner of the Dimsdale Dimmadome, I'm sorry to hear your experience with the app. Would you be able to reach out to me via support@binder-ai.com or globaldominancellc@proton.me? It would be helpful to know which cards the model was off on so I can take a look at what went wrong and try to improve in future versions. Also would love to hear any other feedback or things you think could be improved! I truly do want to make this app as good as can be. Thank you for supporting the app, Anthony

Subscription required

Used to be able to do scans for free as a guest, like $.29 or $.39 a card, now you gotta create an account and pay a weekly or monthly subscription. Poor service on their part IMO. I like scanning a card here and there casually for the convenience and cheap fee per card but now I will look elsewhere

Response from developer

Hey Josnake1244688, I’ll add the feature back! Going to rework some things with it so it’s a smoother experience. Thank you for your feedback and glad you were liking the app! I’ll let you know when this feature is restored, Anthony

FAQ

What does Binder AI do?

Binder AI is a mobile application that uses artificial intelligence to analyze the condition of your trading and sports cards. You can snap photos of your cards, and the AI will provide a detailed grading analysis and notes, helping you decide if it's worth sending them for professional grading.

How does the AI grading work?

The app's AI analyzes the front and back photos of your trading or sports card to assess its condition. It provides detailed notes and an estimated grade, acting as a close estimate to inform your decisions about professional grading services.

Is Binder AI free to use?

No, card scanning analysis requires a subscription. You can choose from weekly, monthly, or yearly subscription plans with prices ranging from $1.99/week to $29.99/year.

What types of cards can I scan?

The app supports a wide variety of trading cards, including Pokémon, MTG (Magic the Gathering), Yu‑Gi‑Oh, Digimon, One Piece, soccer, WWE, olympics, non-sport, baseball, basketball, football, and hockey cards.

Can I trust the AI grade?

The app's AI grading is intended to provide data to help inform your decisions and is described as a very close estimate. However, it is not a guarantee of the exact grade you would receive from professional grading services like PSA or Beckett, as AI is imperfect.
