About
BIO-HF study is the official companion app for participants in the BIOMONITOR-HF clinical study. It is intended only for patients enrolled by their study team and given a study patient ID.
If you are taking part, the app guides you through a simple daily routine that takes about five minutes:
• Report your heart failure symptoms with a few short questions.
• Enter your blood pressure and body weight.
• Perform a quick cardiac measurement using your phone.
How the cardiac measurement works:
• PPG (photoplethysmography): your phone's camera detects tiny changes in blood flow at your fingertip.
• SCG (seismocardiography): the phone senses the small vibrations of your heartbeat when you hold it against your chest.
Combined with data from your implanted BIOMONITOR device, these measurements help researchers study how the heart works and how to recognize early signs of worsening heart failure. Your daily contribution supports research that may help doctors act earlier and improve care for many patients in the future.
Daily reminders help you complete your measurements at the same time each day. The full study runs for about nine weeks.
Important: This app is not for emergency use. It does not provide medical advice or diagnosis. If you experience serious symptoms, contact your doctor or seek immediate medical help.
The app is available to enrolled study participants only and requires a valid study patient ID to register.
