No free version?

I can’t get past set up because there’s no way to decline the paid version. I didn’t even get a chance to try the free app out before it’s forcing me to buy the plus version. I set up the alarm answer all the little questions and before I could actually hit continue the pop-up thing came up for me to buy the premium version with no way to close out of it. It’s a shame, I was excited to try this to see if it would actually get me out of bed in the morning.

Paywall?

App sounds good and interdicting for waking up more calming but for over $20 a month is absolutely crazy for a bird sound effect.

Need to be able to change the region

It asked if I wanted my region, and I said yes, but the very first bird not in my region. I looked at the list of birds that they had for my region, and I’ve never heard of any of them. There seems to be no setting set up so that you can select a region like the southeast. That is a bug that needs fixing.

No available free version

I’ve seen the ad on instagram. Very happily I downloaded the app, immediately went through a quiz that wasted my time just to say that I could have a 80% off deal for a yearly cost!! 🫩I don’t pay for apps and I wanted it to be free. It’s a really good idea for an app but I hate subscriptions, I’d pay a one time fee tho, if it’s understandably priced ofc, say like 25$ one time pay and I’m golden. I wish they would say whether you have to pay for the app or not to use it… y you always lyiiiinnnn 🕺🏼🙄

Weird Alarm

I deleted this app because it was not working how I thought it would and I didn't enjoy it. Even though I deleted the app probably a month ago the alarm continues to go off on my phone and there is no way for me to get it to stop. Very strange

No free option

It says there is a basic free option multiple times. I couldn’t get to it. It wanted me to force me to sign up for a subscription.

Nice idea but doesn’t work

Alarm goes off ok but when you tap on “guess which bird” it goes back to the “set up alarm”
Option again - EVERY time

App is awesome / Pricing is unreasonable

I love the concept and the app. But $4.99/week or $50 for a year is just wildly unreasonable for a glorified alarm. I would pay $20 for a lifetime license. Mayyyyybe $9.99/year.

Same bird everyday?

This could be cool, but it doesn’t actually prompt me to guess the bird. It just shows the American Goldfinch… for the 3rd day in a row.

Doesn’t alarm when set

Great idea but needs to actually function. Doesn’t alarm at the set time! Disappointed and glad it’s not the only alarm I had set! Also wild that you can only have 1 daily wake up alarm unless you subscribe to the paid version. Don’t bother trying to learn birds or wake up with this app.

subscription only??

downloaded this app hoping for an alarm that would wake me up. now it's trying to force me to subscribe to this sleep inertia thing..?

No option not to get the free trial

Maybe I’m stupid and was missing something, but I could not opt out of getting the free trial (a week free and then payments of course) to this, which I don’t want. I was looking to see if this was an app in which a subscription was required and it doesn’t look like it. But there was literally no way for me not to do it and I think that’s just sleazy and frustrating. I just wanted to try the app out not get roped into forgetting I had a trial and then paying for something I don’t want. Would have tried it but just decided it’s not worth my time dealing with this.

Eh

Would be great if an actual alarm went off — but you have to open the app for the alarm to sound. Not sure how that helps wake someone up

amazing concept - haunts your phone

absolutely loved this app whilst i was using it but i ended up deleting it purely for storage reasons. however, it haunts my phone. i still get the alarms but now they’re at random times of the day and it just plays the default apple alarm sound. low-key a nightmare i can’t lie

End subscription based apps

I’ve seen so many amazing app ideas recently, and every time they’re behind a subscription paywall. I would gladly pay $10 for this app. I am not paying $50 for a one year subscription.

Great Mornings

Love this app.

Location based bird sounds could be honed in a little.

great idea, small bugs need worked on

about 1-2 times a week the alarm either doesn’t go off at all or goes off not at the scheduled time. Also very often i open the app to guess the bird alarm and the advertisements pop up and having to exit out of the advertisement turns off the bird call and there is no way to get it to come back so i’m forced to guess with no sound. I debate on getting premium but if the advertisements keep disrupting the base experience i may reconsider.

surprise it’s $50!

it’s not advertised anywhere that you have to pay, and there’s no free option. And it AUTOMATICALLY charged me as soon as i opened the app, i hadn’t even selected anything yet. I was really excited about this app, but that was so invasive and scammy i immediately deleted.

Still a bit buggy and in the works…

I love the concept of this app but for the past month I think I have only heard the same exact bird every morning even though I had the selection set to give a variety. Hopefully this gets fixed soon.

So excited - now sad

I was so excited for this app that I signed up for a year along with the free week. But I chose “varied” bird songs and have gotten the robin for 4 days in a row. No tweaking of settings has helped. I’ve cancelled my subscription since it’s before the deadline. Great photos and a sweet learning tool concept, but not worth a subscription if it’s so buggy. It would be great if the alarm was free (no option what bird preferences, but not the same bird every day) but all the additional cool bird facts and learning tools caught up in subscription.
