I found the app to be clunky and not at all intuitive or helpful. The Merlin Bird id app, which my wife found after I had purchased this one, is so much better—and it is free!
There are better free apps out there
Has some good info but I’m deleting it after many years because the recordings are way too sensitive and pick up so many other sounds making it a poor quality recording a lot of the time. I’ve discovered other apps that don’t have this issue
Difficult to use
Many birds don’t seem to be on here and the search feature is weak. The recording system is unreliable and whole app often closes.

Functional?
The wheel just spins when I try to record a birdsong even in my backyard! This doesn’t seem to work on my phone. I’d like a refund please.

This app is great. Helped us identify the Ovenbird by song as we couldn’t find it but heard it singing daily. Lots of fun with this app.

Great app!
So far so good. I was looking for an app to help me identify the birds I have grown up with and heard all my life. This app is very good. It offers a variety of songs and calls often for the same bird. Great written descriptions of them, too. No technical problems noticed, either. I haven’t figured out how to upload recordings I have take. Of “mystery” birds yet, but if all goes well, I’ll be updating my rating.

It is a work in progress but is coming along fine. Just needs more birds which is coming I’m sure.
