It’s a great app for people who want to get into birding or like me wanting to see more species and improving photography it also allows you to share your photographs I love the bird bingo which challenges you to find 9 different birds in 1 weeks as well as the daily quizzes and quest no complaints at all

Incredibly addictive!
What an incredibly smart way to introduce novice birdwatchers to the world of Birding/Twitching! Being a big Pokemon fan, I instantly fell in love with the idea of having collectable cards and leaving them up and evolving them to higher quality cards! It is also a great incentive to get out and enjoy the vast open world! My partner and I have thoroughly enjoyed spending quality time together outside birdwatching and I can’t wait to further my knowledge about ornithology and capture some beautiful bird pictures along the way!

Amazing!
Started using Birdex a few months ago, and it has been amazing. I’m a keen birdwatcher anyway, but it’s great to use to track my life list, and it’s fun to upgrade the carts and play the quizzes and complete the quests. It’s actually motivated me to get out more into nature and do more birdwatching!

Enhanced birdwatching
This app has enhanced birdwatching for me and my family, it’s got us out walking more in nature and gives my son something fun to do whilst on a walk. I love the daily quizzes and the weekly bingo, an incentive to log more birds and compete in some friendly competition

Incredibly good app and community
This app is one of the best things I happened upon. Not only has it gotten me outside more and motivated me to do more birdwatching and birding but has as a result greatly increased my physical health. The community and the developers who have devoted their time to perfecting this app and making time for the community they have built are wonderful people and at a moments notice are willing to help and even have the occasional birding relayed chinwag with the discord community. The app as a whole is polished and optimised perfectly and the progression itself moves at a wonderful pace assuming you birdwatch somewhat regularly.
I simply could not recommend the app enough. It’s wonderful.

My favourite app, love it!
I’ve been using this app for a little while now and I absolutely love it. I don’t go a day without opening it and logging at least one bird I’ve spotted. It lives on my homescreen and brings me great joy.
Excellent App for all birders
I’ve become fairly obsessed with this app and it has made me venture out to my local patch more than usual, as well as further afield. My teenage son has also been using Birdex with equal gusto and it has made the whole experience much more fun with some friendly competition thrown in! Recommended for experienced birders as well as newbies.

Been using for a few months now and can honestly say it’s one of the most fun birding apps I use, since Feb I’ve managed to add 138 species to the list which has been great fun.

Amazing App
Absolutely love this app! Everything about it is amazing and they have a great discord community. The pro version is definitely worth it as well.
Fun but paywall is annoying
App is really fun but the latest update is annoying with the constant pushing for the pro version. Please remove that and just have an option for it somewhere rather than constantly asking me to upgrade
Great app, fun and easy to use, it’s like the Pokemon go of birding.
Brilliant app, as already mentioned, it’s enjoyable to use, I love being able to customise each species backgrounds, making them stand out in my own way. Discord server is brilliant for asking questions, feedback towards the app, and the weekly bird photography competitions are great fun. 11/10. Would 100% recommend. No need to be a proper birder (no harm being one).

Sighting location gets reset
When editing a sighting where a location was previously saved (but not editing the location), when the edit is saved the location does not get saved correctly. It has to be manually set again on each edit. This needs fixing!
Super fun birding app with promising potential
I’d recommend this app to any UK birders - often described as “like Pokémon for birds”, your logged sightings unlock and level up cards, which you can evolve, apply cosmetics to, and generally show off to your friends in the app. You can also compete with friends in weekly scoreboards and daily quests and challenges. There’s a daily quest, daily bird ID quiz, and weekly bingo card. It’s super fun to use.
It has potential to be even more fun, with concepts like battling friends with your cards (like Pokemon), having a map that shows all your sightings (as sighting can be labelled with coordinates), and much more. Their discord is an amazing community too full of friendly, knowledgeable, cool people.
