Great app
A smart re design, and the recent bug has been fixed in regard to the Sound ID. A fantastic way to test your bird identification skills.
Sound ID glitch persists
A smart re design, however despite the recent updates staring “bug fixes”, the main glitch remains. On the ‘Sound’ section of the bird ID quiz, the media files do not play at all (no sound is outputted) despite clicking play and pause. It would be great to have this fixed and it would no doubt be a great app.

Quiz sound doesn’t work
Would give this much higher but the quiz (sound) doesn’t work. The sound never plays. The actual quiz on the website is great when that works but same problem. Hopefully will be fixed at some point.

App stopped working.
I love this app and it has helped my bird Id come a long way. However, atm it keeps having an error and saying it can’t parse (1002). Is this fixable?

Just updated can’t get on it. App keeps saying I need WiFi. To use it. I have a full signal and WiFi is on.
Never deleted an app so soon before
The app simply doesn’t work on an iPhone. Can’t change regions and no instructions
Great quiz but app needs updating
Love the quiz, is so helpful for improving bird ID skills. However on the app I can’t change the area setting
Download speed
Almost a five star app. Following things need fixed:
- Download speed is often either very slow, or certain birds in the guide will not download at all with the message ‘failed to download’. I do not have this issue with other apps on the same network.
- Some missing species such as red grouse and spectacled eider.
Aside from this, massively impressed with the quizzes and the range of bird song used in them!

Great app - needs adjustments
This is a superb app for doing bird sound exercises. One thing I will say though is that quite often the same birds will appear in the quiz which is a bit annoying, for example “pheasant” sometimes comes up twice in the same quiz. Also there is currently an issue with the app that doesn’t allow me to pick my region (UK) - it’s just a blank screen, so I cannot use the app just now.

Great app. Small glitch
Love this app, have used it a million times. It’s completely the best Bird-ID-quiz around, online or anywhere.
Redownloaded it recently and can’t change the area in the quiz settings, never had any problems with it before though.
Also if anyone’s listening would be brilliant to be able to select individual birds to do a personalised quiz, like only the ones you struggle with, or at least only the grouse/gulls/ducks etc

Nice but flawed
This is a nice app which I will keep using, but the quizzes don’t work properly and it’s annoying! You can answer ten questions, get nine correct but when it comes to the scoring it will tell you that you only got five right, even if it has constantly gone green during the actual quiz and it’s very frustrating. Will keep using though, hoping to improve my general skills.

Really Improved my bird recognition
The quizzes are fun to do (level four is HARD!) and I have noticed a marked improvement in my bird recognition. The birdsong clips are especially useful.
