Super Mozilla-Sync
Ich benutze das Tool seit Jahren, um meine iPhone-Kontakte mit Mozilla Thunderbird zu synchronisieren. Es war immer etwas umständlich, ist aber seit der Desktop-Version 3.0 einfach super geworden! Tolles Handwerkszeug. Wenn auch einmalig etwas teuer eine absolute Bereicherung, leider nur in Englisch.
Ps: Auch die aktuelle Version funktioniert im Zusammenspiel iPhone 5s und Windows 7 super!

Aktuelle Versionen von BirdieSync Desktop und IPhon 5s funktionieren nicht. Habe sämtliche Settings durch probiert.......Schade!
Fantastic
I use BirdieSync with an iPhone and with Thunderbird. It is simply fantastic. I have used both v2 and v3 BirdySync and am running v3 with Thunderbird 38. It is very good software. It is also outstanding support. I've been using it for 6m and cannot recommend it highly enough.
Great App to manage multiple calendars and phone books!
We have iphones and Samsung Galaxy in our house and this manages both just fine.

Gute Software
Im Vergleich zu dem, was Outlook oder Itunes so an Sync-Grausamkeiten bietet, ist das Birdie ganz okay. Funktioniert, lediglich die auf den IPhone, Rechner und in Thunderbird verteilten Einstellungen sind etwas mühsam zu beherrschen. Aber wie gesagt - jeder der mal ein WLAN Sync via iTunes versucht hat, der lächelt hier nur müde. Bin zufrieden.

Bad quality for the price you pay
This application is overpriced. When trying to synchronize events on with iOS 5.1x device, the synchronization crashes all the time. Moreover, when synchronizing both ways the synchronization process creates duplicates of the birthdays calendar on the mobile device.

Contacts belong cetainly to our most important data. (In my case i have collected around 3000 business contacts over the last years.) The software that you are using to synchronize your contacts should be 100% reliable. Unfortunately this software is not:
- It duplicates contacts during synchronization, in doing so crippling the duplicated datasets in a weird fashion, the result are totally bloated contact sets. The duplicate detection of the Thunderbird plugin does not detect a single duplicate afterwards...
- BirdieSync always tries to delete several thousand contacts from my iPhone, also those that were synchronized just before...
I spent hours over hours with the software in order to make it do what i wanted: No way (despite the fact that I am computer scientist who makes his living with writing software). I don't like to imagine what non computer scientists could make out of their data with this software... What a pity!

Super App! Benutze Sunbird auf dem PC mit meinem iPhone 4 und habe mir mittlerweile auch die Vollversion gekauft. Lohnt sich wie ich finde weil es einfach und schnell geht. Auch das einrichten war kein Problem. Synchronisiere auch nur meine Termine.
Zuverlässige Sync mit kleinen Mängeln
Sync von Kontakten und Kalendereinträgen funktioniert bei mir inzwischen absolut problemlos. Vor dem ersten Sync kann es nötig sein, das Adressbuch auf dem iPhone sauber einzurichten: Alle Datenfelder müssen entweder das Etikett "Privat" oder "Arbeit" tragen, sonst werden sie nicht synchronisiert. Daher sollte man auch das Syncen mit dem Windows-Adressbuch in iTunes abschalten.
Wenn etwas nicht klappen sollte, gibt der Hersteller schnell und freundlich Hilfestellung. Außerdem gibt es in der Windows-Anwendung eine sehr detailliete Hilfe.
Die Gesamtlösung kostet zwar 20 Euro, dafür spart man sich aber das Rumfrickeln mit Open-Source-Lösungen wie Funambol und Radicale und bekommt am Ende eine Lösung, die funktioniert.

Saved me hours of typing and editing. Within a few minutes I had merged 3 address books all onto my iPhone synced between home, laptop and work computers!
This app crashes Thunderbird
Really, not a well developed or thought through application, upon commencement of sync within Thunderbird, this causes the Mail Client to crash.
Latest update of Thunderbird is on the Windows 7 64 bit machine.
Disappointed, but it was free.

Funktioniert nicht wirklich
Nur zum einmaligen Synchronisieren geeignet. Nach 30 Tagen braucht ihr ne Freischaltung fûr die PC -Software und die kostet ca. 20 €
Synchronisation mit Lightning geht von Haus aus nicht. Und die Übertragung der Kontakte in Thunderbird klappt nur recht bescheiden...manches wird nicht übertragen, manches nur teilweise.

Nur mit der App ist es nicht getan, es ist noch ein Stück Software für den PC nötig, die kann man sich als 21 Tage Testversion kostenfrei laden (positiv) aber danach werden €19,95 fällig (Negativ).
Man umgeht hier nur die Provision für den AppStore...
Empfehlung von mir nur zur EINMALIGEN Synchronisation.

Great for Address Book syncing with Thunderbird
Birdie sync is easy and quick syncing of the iPhone with Thunderbird address book. I hope they soon add syncing of appointments and tasks as well with Lightning.
