Great game.. but too hard
I love this game. It’s so fun to play, but it’s incredibly hard. I’ve played over and over and am unable to make it past the 7th level in the first migration. Challenge is good, but this level of difficulty is more frustrating than fun. I love and recommend the game, I just wish the powers were either a little higher, or the distance difficulty was lower.

This is a demo
Citing Balatro as inspiration for this demo is a stretch. When you fail as a writer, you can always make a gacha app, right ?
Great… but
Difficulty needs to be dialled down a bit for daily migrations. For example, I’ve spent multiple hours on a daily challenge to no avail, despite very careful strategizing. Lowering the required scores for each level by a bit, or adding more balance in another way, would help the game feel more strategic and less chance-based.

Scam
I came here to see if I was the only one having this issue but I’m not. First level was difficult as is but second level is literally impossible, even the daily mission. I bought the game because I really liked it but I’ve been trying for what feels like a month now to pass this second level. Unless you get the luckiest hand of all time I don’t know how you would pass it. At this point I know if I don’t get multiplayer cards then it’s pointless to continue. A very broken game and it’s sad

love this game!
i was searching for games on the store’s feed page and came across this one. i love the concept and the multiplier aspect. i wish it reward having longer words more since i find myself being able to just make three letter words with the right cards and winning a bit too easily. kinda sucks that it’s a demo because i love it so much but it’s one of the few games im actually considering purchasing!

great game but slight problem with music cards
hi ! i love your game ! i bought the full version on ios. i have been playing for awhile and i am having a hard time completing levels because the music cards do not work during the game. i will select the card and select a tile to duplicate, delete, or transform and nothing will happen. doubling my seed and resetting to max words work but mostly other than that, the music cards are useless. please fix this issue/ bug because i really enjoy this game and often play it on my commute to work. i really appreciate the work that you developers and staff do and i wish to see more :D thank you for your time and efforts, i would like to have an even better time playing your game.

I like birb
Birb is Gub
Ok-
Its good. Nice twist.
Good, but also..
This is a very nice game, I like the idea a lot and it’s fun, but it’s SO hard!!? I only ever fully beat the first level with a really lucky build, but since then I haven’t been able to and it’s kind of frustrating. I also really wish, when you lost a game, it wouldn’t send you back to the very start of the map and reset all your stuff. It would be better to just have to play the same leg again or go back one leg. It’s kinda even discouraging to have to start at square one, especially when the full levels are so long.
I wish I could rate it higher because it is a pleasant and unique word game, but the difficulty is a too high and it needs a little adjusting.

What are we doing, what’s going on
The words that are considered valid make no sense. Not scrabble rules (accepts proper nouns and acronyms), and no visible determination on profanity and slang. Why does it accept hitler and fajita but not Jew or soju? Some profanity is fine in the past tense but not the present tense? Makes no sense. Love the game though, very bird, very word.

Love it, only wish for more
This game has an extremely strong foundation to stand on, and i love so many aspects. I only wish for minor additions, such as more card art and the ability to customise your own bird. All and all, headed in the right direction! I can’t wait for more
Needs checkpoints!
I enjoy this game, but it’s frustrating to get so close to the end of a path and then have to start over completely due to one bad round. I’m about to give up because I can’t make any real progress. Checkpoints would be very helpful!
Great game—difficult
Great graphics and fun gameplay—but simply very difficult! I haven’t been able to win a single stage since the first one.
Fun Game. WTH w/ Music cards.
This is referencing the paid version: the game is fun, but the music note cards don’t work or at least there is no proper explanation as to how to make them work. It’s frustrating and it’s why I haven’t given you a five star review. Thank you.
Great game
Fantastic game - just would like more (and longer) levels before upgrading. Keep up the great work!
Lots of promise! Tips for both new players and the developers!
As someone who’s poured a ton of time into Wordle and *especially* Balatro, I was really looking forward to this new take on the genre. The calm mindful aesthetic also immediately appealed to me, and the core idea has a lot of charm!
My only major gripe off the bat is that I would NOT call this Wordle x Balatro. The Balatro element is totally there, but it’s not very much like wordle. It’s a lot closer to Scrabble x Balatro. You aren’t trying to guess a word, you’re playing words that you come up with using limited resources (letter tiles).
Otherwise, this is a great start! I’m seeing a lot of complaints about getting through the first migration. Some suggestions for newcomers:
1. Try building around a specific word length, in the current build I think words that are 3 letters or fewer long is perfect for newcomers to win every time easily! For example, in my first play through I barely got through with my highest scoring word being “Theater” for 2000. I started buying feathers catered towards shorter words, and my second game’s highest word was a simple “Joe” for 1200. “Joe” is way easier to execute than “Theater”, and with the right build it’s worth over half as many points! For beginners, I think this is a good and consistent strategy.
2. Try deck building. Get more platinums and diamond tiles to play via the songs. It becomes easier and easier to play perfect hands as you cater your deck to your build.
3. Try focusing on * tiles! They can be upgraded to platinum pretty easily, and they’re extremely powerful. My third playthrough’s highest scoring word was “***” for 9000, which I probably played dozens of times.
This should easily get you through one victory! And now, some advice for the developers!
1. First and foremost, please add an option for Endless play like in Balatro once you’ve completed a Migration! For those who find the base game a bit easy, trying to high round endless is a great way to give infinite replayability!
2. Please add more varied feathers, songs, and perhaps even tile effects. I’ve only played a few migrations, but I think I’ve seen most of the feathers and all of the songs.
3. I think the game could use some balancing tweaks. For example, Wildcards (“*”) are quite powerful in my opinion, and I find myself just loading up on them and not even thinking about forming words anymore, just play *** and buff wildcards. It really takes away from the fun of trying to come up with clever words.
Lastly, I’m not just good at Balatro and game design, I’m also an experienced Unity Developer! If you need someone to suggest balancing, or to assist with Unity dev, please reach out! I can send some demos of my Unity experience, and/or more suggestions for game balancing and how this could be made even more fun! Thanks so much, and no matter if you reach out I’m excited for the future of this project!

Good game - could be great
I love word games and deck builders so I was excited to see a game that combined both. After playing the demo run a few times I decided to buy it.
This game is solid. The art is nice and the mechanics are fun. It is well worth the one time $4. I’m happy to support a dev team that doesn’t flood their app with ads or ask you to subscribe and pay for their game forever.
Now for the not so great. It kinda feels like an Early Access game on Steam, by which I mean it doesn’t feel quite finished. It needs some major rebalancing - if you don’t get just the right synergies in the early game you lose the run pretty quickly. This can get very frustrating very quickly, especially if you get a great card for power and don’t have the flaps to go with it (or vice versa). There isn’t enough differentiation between the levels you unlock, nor do you have any choice in the paths within the levels. They all feel pretty much the same except for the number of stops, so the replay value drops fast. It doesn’t feel right to need to complete a puzzle to unlock the store stops.
I’ve spent countless hours in Slay the Spire, Balatro, Monster Train, Inscryption, etc. as well as many years playing crosswords, boggle, wordle and the like. Hopefully this feedback is helpful, happy to provide more if desired.

gr8 game, bad optimization
i like this game a lot but it is an absolute battery drain. if you can sit by a plug, it's great.
Shows promise
This game shows a lot of promise and could be fun once the difficulty level is adjusted. The graphics are great, and the birds are cute. Please add a help area that explains how to use the songs and cards to alter the letters you have available or add the one extra word you get. Please also make it easier to advance; I haven’t been able to get past one migration with the Swanson’s hawk to be able to do anything else in the game.

Fun to start, then can’t beat it
I wish I liked this game. I tried to.
It was super fun at the start, I bought the game too. I really enjoyed that initial one.
A week? Two weeks? Later of playing and I haven’t won another. I tried, real hard. Multiple times. But I can only take so much before I get frustrated because I haven’t won a game since the first one I played
