Full of errors
It’s shocking and disappointing how many errors are in this, making it nearly useless. Species accounts with blank pages instead of texts, mislabeled illustrations, notes on illustrations that directly contradict text, and wrong species names on illustrations. White-throated Piculet? That’s not even a typo.
In general, habitat info is uselessly brief, no mention of bird habits makes it impossible to locate a bird you don’t already know. You can’t enlarge the illustrations but you can enlarge the maps, which is useless.
Away from the Atlantic rainforest and Guianan shield you’re better off with an app from Ecuador or Peru, or better yet the Lynx books.

Bom, recomendo e ainda é o melhor disponível.
O app é bom, principalmente para quem já usou o livro do Van Perlo na mão em campo. Ajuda bastante também pelas gravações. Mas, já adquiri desde meu IPhone 3 e sinto que poucas atualizações são feitas para melhorar a experiência do usuário. Para as buscas da espécie é necessário até acentuar o nome em português. Parece que não há Inteligência Artificial que nos facilita as buscas. E também acho que poderia ter aumentado a base de dados das gravações e o mapa de ocorrência das espécies. Recomendo para todos que gostam de conhecer mais sobre as aves.

Needs a way to download sightings
This was a great app during a recent trip to brazil. Much easier to deal with than the book, which I also have. but I was sorry to see after getting home that you cannot download your sightings... ie your ‘favorites’. This would be so much better if you could record details of species etc in the field and download it

Perfect companion to the book
I’ve used this app on several trips to Brazil and have found it extremely helpful. When I am in Brazil I use this app every day. Love the enhancement of songs and photographs. Also the coverage of the entire country is great. Since I live in North America, many species that I see in different parts of Brazil are new to me, and this app in combination with printed field guides enables me to have a great chance of getting an identification of a new bird.
I’ve used it on at least 5 visits to such varied locations as Belo Horizonte and the coastal range in Minas Gerais; Brasilia and the Capitol region; Cuiabá and Chapada dos Guimarães National Park; Rio and environs; Goiás state; and the Xingu region of Mato Grosso.
Highly recommended.

O app é bom, mas...
O app é bom, mas deixa a desejar em algumas coisas. Uma delas é não ampliar as fotos dos pássaros no índice; a outra é, mesmo com o ícone de voltar ao índice, não fazê-lo. É necessário fechar o aplicativo e se achar. Como não tem como ampliar a foto dos pássaros, se torna ainda mais difícil identificar identificar algum animal em específico, ainda mais sem uma foto real, somente com o desenho. Com a foto geralmente temos o voto de Minerva.

Missing multiple lists of favorites
It is a shame that an app with such rich and comprehensive content as this one does not feature a “filter by state/location” or at least the possibility to manually create multiple lists of favorite birds. This renders the app almost useless because one has to scroll through 1800+ thumbnails of birds to try to identify one spotted bird. I have written the developers some time ago asking for this simple feature to be implemented but got no answer whatsoever

Don’t waste your money!
Used this app to record my bird sightings in Brazil. Three days into the trip the app disappeared. When I downloaded it again all my sightings were gone. Totally useless app.
Crashes at opening
Just downloaded V2.0.3 and it crashes at the opening page.
Update
This app was working fine on my iPad. It started crashing today and I found the update. Turned iPad off, updated and it is still crashing after the credits page shows up. I'm leaving for Brazil today. Can you help me?

Terrible update
After this last update the app stop working on landscape mode on the IPhone 6 plus if you mark a lot of birds the app quits. I wish I could go back to the previous version.
Falta muita coisa pra ficar bom

Foi até gentil a resposta do desenvolvedor alegando que estão trabalhando para resolver a "instabilidade do aplicativo. No meu caso ele é bastante estável! Sempre abre travado! Até quando?
Incompatível com Iphone 4
Qdo consigo manter o app aberto, ele não me permite acesso aos textos - se clicar ele fecha. Está lento e conseguir marcar os favoritos tem sido um trabalho que exige muita paciência. Quero voltar à versão anterior!!!! Já deletei e baixei novamente várias vezes, contatei o desenvolvedor e continua ruim.

O aplicativo sempre funcionou muito bem, atendendo às demandas. Porém, a partir do momento em que foi atualizado, não abre mais. É uma pena, gostaria de conseguir resolver esse problema.
Desastre
A atualização incoporporou um ótimo recurso: o fechemento automático. Vc abre o app e automaticamente ele se fecha! Minha sugestão é sonorizar o fechamento com a famosa expressão do Homer Simpson: "duh".
