Ruined
This used to be my go to app for bird indentation. It was simple yet effective and whilst the available information varied from excellent to minimal, it worked for me.
Yet now I have found that the app is unusable since the advert banner has appeared at the bottom. The app is now plagued with glitches and whilst I accept the developer needs to fund the app, why would anyone pay for this given its obvious lack of any development? Even the ‘contact developer’ link is not mobile friendly, which is comical given it’s from a mobile app!
Even if you try to work through the glitches the search features are now completely useless with the ‘search by type’ selection none functional.

Don’t pay to remove adds
I downloaded this app and then paid, in app, to have adds removed.
Although I iPhone account confirms that. Y money has been deducted, I still receive adds

A very useful app.
A very easy app for identifying birds from the United Kingdom and having access to Wikipedia for a more detailed search is beneficial to twitchers and the bird spotting public.

Love the app
To be honest, I hadn’t used the app for a while but just started using it again. I had forgotten how great it was. I recently identified chaffinches in one of my trees, and I played the chaffinch call. One of them in the tree was actually replying to the call on the app. Then suddenly, it flew out of the tree straight towards me. I even had to duck my head as it was flying right at me! Incredible!!!!

Who ever designed this app needs to be ashamed of themselves its useless

If your looking for a free app storing information for all birds of Britain, this is the one! The app has; habitat info, bird sounds, a photo of the bird etc. You can also search for the bird by your location and set filters to find a specific bird-love this feature!
Only thing that could be changed would be the design, an updated interface would be nice, but love the app, thanks!

Good but could be better
Good graphics and fact base but really needs more birdsongs and photos of both sexes and juveniles to be really useful and informative. If you assume that’s a work in progress then it’s got great potential. Useful links to Wikipedia but if you’re out of a data coverage area that’s not a lot of help.

Not good at all
The rating I saw, when contemplating downloading the app, rated 4.3. How?!?!
There is little to no information in this app. It gives you a link to RSPB which didn’t work. I couldn’t even scroll properly. I clicked on one of the bird song tabs and couldn’t distinguish the song from other birds.
I’ll be deleting this app immediately.

Not very good unless you want to look at a robin all of the time!
Basic & Poorly Designed
- Not enough pictures of each bird
- App looks cheap and half finished
- Would be difficult to 100% identify a bird if you’re a total ammeter as there’s only one picture of each bird

Indispensable
Great to have this catalogue when out and encountering birds you don’t recognise. Fabulous!
