Worth scouting out
I’ve been using BirdScout on neighborhood walks and hikes, and the sound ID makes it surprisingly easy to figure out which birds are around me. I especially like that it works offline, since I don’t always have reception on trails. It really does the scouting for you, and I’ve started recognizing a few local birds on my own. Definitely makes ordinary walks more interesting.

Awesome for birding and snoozing
This is great for identifying thousands of different birds out in the wild. As a bonus, listening to all the bird songs in bed is super relaxing and puts me right to sleep.
