Don’t buy a feeder that uses this app!
This is a terrible app! Doesn’t label the birds correctly at all! Will call the same bird 3 different birds! I wish I had checked the app out before I bought the feeder. I’m very disappointed in my purchase. Can’t return it as it is from Amazon.
Does not work!
This app is terrible. It will not allow you to stay signed in, and am unable to sign in again. It’s useless!
Basically unusable
Delay and hang time when navigating to pretty much any screen.
Having to reset and setup camera over and over—specifically if the camera runs out of battery it seems. Now the latest, when resetting up the camera, I get through all the settings, and after it “initialized camera” I’m right back to no camera and it asking if I want to setup a camera. Absolute bummer.

Waste of money
Camera never connected by WiFi or cellular. So incredibly disappointing! Look at all the reviews on here and Amazon. Buyer beware!

Does not identify birds well- hard to get back to rewatch a video- I have captured some cute videos but it is really lacking in accuracy and ease of use
Worst Product Ever
I bought this product as a christmas present for my wife. It worked for 1 month. It has now gone offline and we are unable to get it back online. The app is completely useless as fast as help, the web site is also useless and it doesn’t come with a user manual. DO NOT BUY THIS!!
Worst App in Existence
This app is a huge disappointment. I got the bird feeder with camera that the app supports and the hardware is ok but this app is a joke. The AI bird identification is hilarious because it’s so bad. I had it identify a Chickadee as a goose the other day and it said a gold finch was a canary. Just ridiculous. Also, there are various controls in the app but no description of what they do or how to operate it. Avoid the bird feeder and try something else before you use anything that requires this app. So bad it’s funny.

Dysfunctional; just get a Birdbuddy.
I recently received a Birdster bird feeder and thus downloaded the accompanying app, and unfortunately, it did not live up to my expectations.
First, the app has some significant issues. I tested the bird detection by placing a bird figure in front of the camera and noticed the blue light turn on, indicating that it detected something. However, when I checked the “Encounters” page, there was no record of it. I had to wait hours, and sometimes even days, before seeing any bird encounters, which is frustrating for real-time bird watching.
The “Community” tab is even worse. Almost every bird identified by the app was wrong, and in some cases, the app was labeling birds that don’t even exist! For example, I saw an ibis labeled as a “square pigeon” and a cardinal incorrectly identified as a flamingo. It was a bit of a mess and made the app feel unreliable—which it certainly is.
As for the feeder itself, it’s decent, but not without issues. The construction is mostly wood, which could become waterlogged over time, especially being exposed to the elements as feeders tend to be. The interior wooden piece that holds the camera mount broke immediately when I tried to install it. It’s not the most durable design. That said, it is cheaper than the BirdBuddy, so you get what you pay for.
In shorter terms, while the Birdster feeder itself could be functional if built better, the app needs a LOT of work. I’d recommend going with a BirdBuddy instead for a more reliable and user-friendly experience.

Terrible app. Almost impossible to connect to the birdseed camera. Also, too expensive. The bird feeder cost around a 100$!!!
Then you still have to down load the app and pay a fee to use it. Bought on Amazon. Will be returning it for a refund.

Could be good!
I love the concept of these smart bird feeders. The feeder seems well built and sturdy. The app on the other hand is terrible. We get alerts all the time and the videos barely load if at all. The clip it shows you is never the clip you selected. Every single bird is identified wrong but that’s not a huge deal to me, I can find out what the birds are. Hopefully they revamp the entire app to function properly. If not, we will be looking for a different feeder with better functionality.

Nonexistent directions
Trying to get my camera set up for the initial time - could not figure it out- contacted support via email. They said to refer to the directions in the app. There are no directions in the app. Terrible information on how to set up this camera. Right now I have a useless $100 ornament hanging in my yard.

Unusable
This app is so slow, misidentifies almost every bird, and makes it almost impossible to watch the videos you want to see in the app. No matter which I click on, it keeps showing the same video. Not sure if other bird cameras use different apps, but would highly recommend shopping around before purchasing any that use this app.

This app that goes with the camera is literally the worst app I’ve ever seen. It constantly spams me with test messages.
The return policy link on the web page takes you to a marketing message. Same with the non existent FAQ info.
The bird ID is insane - says I have kukaburras, macaws and parrots and misidentifies all others too. When you click on a picture it tells you a different bird. The photos are mostly of tails. Sometimes you get a video then it goes away. Live feed often does not work.
I contacted customer service and they actually admitted to all these problems and said sorry they are working to fix it.

Useless App
The app is next to useless. It clearly misidentifies birds, takes several hours for clip of bird visitor to appear in app, and the app is the most unfriendly user app I have used. The company is very responsive and says they are coming out this month with an improved app. So far nothing has been released as far as I can determine.

Buggy app
This app doesn’t work well at all. It tells you that you have birds in the feeder but when you select the encounters it only shows the old ones. Also everytime you refresh the app it changes how long ago the birds were on the feeder. For example earlier it showed an encounter from 77 minutes ago. When I refreshed it, the time changed to 68 minutes ago. How can that be possible. Also when you select an encounter sometimes it shows the wrong video. It does the same thing when you try to share a video. It will just send a random one. I paid 100 for this feeder for the camera and I am very disappointed with this app
