This is an amazing app!

Gives access to all the SWORD modules available from CrossWire and associated module sources.

Now that PocketSword is no longer available in the App Store, this will be my go to Bible Study app in my iPad Mini 4.

Well done to Troy & all those involved at CrossWire.

Too difficult to use

After tediously selecting and scrolling through each bible source and downloaded a few. But for the life of me I can’t figure out how to switch from KJV to another version.

The chapter and verse selection screen goes off the top of my screen so I can’t select chapter 1, for example.

The profile settings expand in the sidebar making it difficult to operate.

I was hoping for a replacement for the defunct pocket sword app but this is just too much trouble.

Non-functional

Pressing the “previous chapter” button from Matt 1:1 in Greek results in “Nothing to Display” which includes no navigation buttons.
On an iPhone with a notch at the top of the screen, the menubar is barely visible behind the notch and the status bar.
Because it is behind the status bar, all taps and long presses are sent to the status bar leaving the app non-responsive.

Completely broken—or very nearly.

For starters, most of the modules I have tried to download will not install. Modules will download, but only something like a third ever show up in the Installed tab in the Library. Watching closer, it looks like some modules do not download completely (stalling anywhere from 15-70%), but since no error message is displayed, the unobservant user to assume the module had downloaded successfully. Then , after using the app for five minutes discovered the search function crashes the app. (I am running iOS 15.3.1 in an iPhone 11 Pro Max, so I don’t think it is on my end.) I was considering migrating to Bishop after recurrent frustrations with PocketSword, but compared Bishop, PocketSword is virtually problem-free. It’s quite unfortunate since the interface looks really nice. I know these apps are run and maintained by volunteers, but when they are left to neglect and ruin with issues on front and back ends alike, paid apps like Logos and Accordance begin to look more appealing.

Cant open the apps

After updating the apps to 1.5.2version it hangs and could not open it from my ipad2.

Pls fix it.

Thank you
