About

Bite of Balance is the client app for Bite of Balance diet clinic. Your dietitian builds your personalised plan during your visit, this app puts it in your pocket for the rest of the week. Please note: this app requires an account provided by the clinic. It is not a general-purpose calorie counter and cannot be used without a dietitian-issued account. My day Start each morning by choosing which day of your plan to follow. Each card shows that day's lunch and when you last followed it. Your meals then read as now, later and done, so the one in front of you is always on top. Where your dietitian has given you a choice, pick the option you feel like and read their notes for it. Tick off each food, watch your calories fill up, and mark the day complete when you're done. Remembers what you like No settings to fill in. The option you last ate for a meal comes up first next time, and when you pick one of your dietitian's alternatives, it takes the original's place in your plan until you choose another. Ate something off plan? Had an ice cream, or a beer with friends? Search for it, scan its barcode, or enter it by hand, and the app works out which items to skip so your day still balances. You'll see exactly how close you stayed to your plan. Food swaps Plan says chicken, but you'd rather have tuna? Pick one of the alternatives your dietitian listed, or swap in any other food at a calorie-matched amount and see the macro comparison instantly - green when it's a close match, amber when it drifts, red when it's worth checking with your dietitian first. Choose it and it's ticked off on your day. Fruit portions Not sure how much fruit makes a portion? Tap the fruit icon next to any fruit in your plan for a portion guide, and on My day pick the fruit you actually had. My plan Your full seven-day plan, meal by meal, in the order your dietitian set, with portions in the measures you actually use - a cup, a slice, a spoonful. Just your foods and portions, no numbers to track. Switch between the options for each meal, read your dietitian's notes, and see the alternatives for any food at a glance. Progress Weight, body fat and fat-free mass charted over time, taken straight from your clinic measurements. Me Your next appointment, with a reminder the day before and another four hours before, and cancellation from the app up to 24 hours ahead. Call or email the clinic in one tap. Always with you Your plan is saved on your phone, so it opens quickly and even without a connection. When your dietitian changes it, the app picks up the new version on its own. Your plan is written by your dietitian, not by an algorithm. Bite of Balance simply keeps it with you between visits.
