Slap in the face

It is a slap in the face to pay premium for this curriculum and the app work so incredibly poorly. Pathetic. Adds tons of stress and time to our day just to get the app to work. We try it on both Apple and Android and it doesn’t work on either. Frankly, do better BJU. You should be ashamed to offer this sorry excuse of an app to high paying customers.

Pros and Cons

I like this app, but it has its limitations. For some features, you need a WiFi connection. You cannot take quizzes or tests on it. It provides a basic checklist and the ability to watch the videos without the internet. You can also download them for later if you won’t have WiFi. I like the new eTextbook feature. It has a listen button, but the track is AI and unnatural. I could get past that, but it’s a bit finicky sometimes. The spacing of sentences as it reads is quite strange, and it describes the images! 😂 Other than that, it’s a really good feature addition. The app doesn’t sync well with your progress. I find that I have to change tabs or log out for it to update. Instead of going straight to the dashboard, I click “courses” and access the newest lesson that way. Hope this is helpful - from a student perspective!

No detail

Garbage app. Completely worthless to use as an organizational resource. We can’t even get the course overview to load. Additionally, custom courses only have a certain number of templates to choose from and they start at 30 lesson format. So if you want to create a 18 week semester course for example, you have no choice but to select 30 lessons and then either close them out or make them work somehow. Just very very limited. Looks like there’s a lot of better free versions out there. The only thing this offers us is a way to read the E textbook for the BJU class we bought.

Books do not download

Useless as books do not download. Still have to have a separate app for the textbooks.

Not as good as website

It’s a little fancy, but doesn’t have as many features as the website. For example it does not have the calendar so I cannot see my lessons all at one time. Also the speed cannot be changed on the videos. To the makers of BJU Press Connect

BJU is the best homeschool app

I love this I dont need to teach all my homeschoolers. I tried different homeschool apps they gave 5 times more work.

I don’t like school

I’m not a adult but I’m writing a review

I love this I Dont need to teach all my homeschoolers

It is sooooooooo bad

I hate it it let my sister submit a quiz and then my mom couldn’t even check it because it said that she submitted zero answers I hate it 0 stars

My honest review

I downloaded this app and it was honestly dreadful the experience pained me it was super hard to use and had terrible graphics which made it a pain in my life ruined my whole week

What happened? 😞

Used to be a great app that we used regularly, now it barely functions and we are unable to use it

Good But Missing Key Features

This is a good start but the video watch times do not sync up, and I cannot access course resources so I cannot get access to the notes my teachers provide for the daily lessons.

Good substitute for the website

It’s a simpler version of homeschoolhub.com. It has only the dashboard with the lessons and a download videos feature. You need the website to do the courses, but this is great for watching lessons and check-listing on your phone. I can’t do the quizzes in the app unfortunately. Overall it’s good!

Bad

So bad I hate it so confusing delete this

Kind of confusing.

It’s good and all, but everything’s crammed together. On the web, you can easily see everything clearly, but on the app, you’ll have to struggle a little. Three stars.

Good but needs one thing

As a kid that uses BJU press homeschooling the only thing I need is a way to take the quizzes and tests on this app

Very useful!

This is a very useful app. I’ve been using the homeschool hub for nearly three years now, and it makes it so much easier to find information on what I’m doing for the day. Especially useful when the power goes out, so I can use a hotspot to download the videos and continue with my school and not worry about getting behind. Thank you BJU!

Fantastic Release

All the primary functions for the child are present and functional. The main issue I have found is the video watch time does not sync up, so I cannot tell how much of the video has been watched. The other issue is that the videos take a good bit longer to start playing when compared to the web. On the web the videos start almost immediately. Via the app the videos take several seconds to start. Otherwise great work! Let’s see some parent tools now implemented.
