I downloaded this app but found it has old stories from Dec 2023. I was hoping it was an alternative to X but sadly it isn’t. ☹️☹️
ARTICLES NOT UPDATING
My feeds haven’t updated in over 3 weeks when refreshed. It’s also slow to open and populate articles. Is the app “under construction” or has it been abandoned?

Great concept
I like being able read what’s going on in the black community. So far in a week I’ve read about issues and situations that are not covered by national media. My one gripe is what so many ads? Why so many pop up ads? It’s distracting and annoying. Having to click the “x” to close and ad, only for another to pop takes away from immersing in the article. Other apps such do not have that. I will continue to use Black, but I cannot recommend it to my senior relatives who do not have the manual dexterity capability to keep closing ads. Please do something about that.

Yes im black and im proud of it. Of course٫racism is bad! But if you dont try to stand up to it٫ it wont end. You may be young or old or something In between but god has your back he is fighting too! And when there is a war٫ he doesn't pick sides٫ he forms his own team. And even if you dont know it٫ all Cristains go on his side. I have really been enjoying this app over the last few months. However, over the past couple of weeks, it has stopped giving new content from The Root which is one of my favorite sources for news. It seems like a glitch but it’s a big one for me and I hope it can be fixed soon.

Great Idea -Terrible execution
I wish I could suggest this app to friends but there is no button within the app to do so. I’m addition none of the buttons to share the story work. This is a great idea however please work on the app so it’s useable. I can barely read story without accepting cookies from each news site. Can’t even do that because the app has the button to close out of the story on top of the accept button.

Hey there App Avenger! We redesigned the entire share and article experience to fix those issues in the latest update. Unfortunately, the cookie prompts are from the publisher's websites, so we can't turn those off. However, we do have something cooking to make that process a bit smoother. Cheers, A

I am not fond of apps that will not let you continue unless you agree to allow them to use cookies. I don’t want to be tracked and should not be forced to in order to read some news.
