The app is a disgrace, never works, is set to a schedule that the rinks don’t follow so you will rarely see you child’s games. Blackbear is a degenerate disgraceful company, from the very top, down to rink employees who are neglecting and ruining our local rinks
Absolute Joke
I purchased a game so I could find some clips of highlights, and the camera said “Team A vs Team B 3:40,” and said it would be on demand. However, it was a live feed, and did not have the same teams, and will only show me a live feed from when I bought it. Do not give this company any money, they are scam artists.

possibly the worst app ever created
camera goes wherever it wants to can’t zoom in. when you get out of the app and go back in it’s not functional. No sound and sucks in general. Also have to wait 2 hours after the game starts to watch it.
Astounding how bad this app is
They need to copy LiveBarn. Games are hard to find or not available at all. You can’t search by specific times at a specific rink. You have to find that game and then scroll to find when the game was played. It could be so simple but they have made it difficult.
Pricing is Terrible
Charging $14.99 for a single game with only 48 hours of on-demand access is hard to justify, especially when there is no option to download the game or even save clips at that price point. I’d give it zero stars if I could. Just a money grab.

I simply don’t understand why people hate this app I believe it is perfect for what it is it’s not anything special it’s exactly what it’s supposed to be.

Absolutely terrible customer service. Not worth purchasing because if there is ever an issue, you can guarantee it will not be resolved correctly or professionally.

Black Bear is attempting to monopolize and squeeze hockey parents and spectators. They are TRASH!!!! This includes this overpriced app and garbage video/audio. If it’s not on livebarn or I can’t make it, then I’d rather miss out than support these clowns.

Making people pay money to watch their own kids play sports and make the whole experience terrible while they are at it. At least live barn made it enjoyable

Not only is this app garbage, Murry Gunty, the PE d-bag owner is doing anything to screw over everyone by buying up all rinks and milking them for every penny.
I’d Rather Go to Target on a Saturday
The developer deserves a 10 minute game misconduct.
If you put this app in full screen and rotate your phone back to portrait, the video disappears into the void. Black screen. No warning. No other option to restarting the app.
The “live” stream is also several minutes behind reality. So if anyone on your kid’s team updates the score via text, TeamSnap, or carrier pigeon, congratulations — the game is spoiled before the puck even drops on your screen.
At this point, watching hockey on BlackBear TV feels like time travel, but only in the wrong direction. I would genuinely rather walk through Target with my wife and discuss throw pillows than attempt to watch another game on this app.
If you love the feeling you get one a vending machine doesn’t give you the snack you paid for I recommend you download this app and subscribe.

Awful
This app doesn’t work well, can’t zoom, no sounds, kicks you out. Not to mention to actually watch a game, you need a subscription and then certain games are even more on top of that. A year of watching glitchy, soundless games will cost $500 or more. Oh, and if the game isn’t scheduled with them, you can’t watch the rink / ice. Reach out to customer support, they say it is all good on their side and it is on you with no refund. It is a shame, people wanting to watch their kids sports and Black Bear is just screwing people. I wish these rinks still had livebarn, you could watch practices, scrimmages and games, all for the subscription cost. This organization is just trying to screw people and make a to of $$.

don’t film jv game
my son was very proud of his game and and got the game winning goal on his jv game. He went to go look on black bear and there was just no jv games only varisty. Black bear should just be free because it just makes everything worse love barn is better because you can watch anything at anytime. make this a change black bear.

absolutely terrible. was trying to find a game clip and it recorded the complete wrong thing at the wrong time period and i spent $15. DO NOT DOWNLOAD.

The app is horrible quality, the audio and video are hit or miss. It’s a shame that this company operates the way it does. I hope the USPHL comes to its senses.
God Awful RATE 1* TO GET REMOVED
As a hockey player whose league is streamed, this app is garbage. I loved being able to go and look at practices, fun skates, or even beer league games I’d substitute in-But that’s just not the case here. The cameras record only a very few specific events and turn off for everything else. This is pure trash. The quality is livebarn, the price is tripled, and the events are limited.

Biggest rip off ever!
Paid $15 dollars to stream one game. Game wouldn’t load. If I could leave zero stars I would. Don’t waste your money!
a real disaster
The application is still buggy, no way to watch a match without it bugging, very frustrating and the price is very exaggerated for the quality, I much prefer Flo Hockey, but NCDC is there with them so there's no choice!!
Absolute joke
This app is ridiculous for a paid streaming service. I’m currently staring at a screensaver because the person broadcasting games can’t figure out how to actually broadcast a game.

Choppy/Freezes a lot
The stream for this app is constantly freezing, or just going black and not coming back. Extremely frustrating for the high price compared to similar systems like LiveBarn and HUDL.
