Perfecta

Revolucionaria.

No funciona

En mi experiencia, no funciona. Una lástima, la idea es genial pero ha sido tirar el dinero. Un desastre.

Una aplicación fantástica

Aplicación fantástica, muy recomendable

The score reading app that simplifies life.

Thanks Blackbinder for creating such an innovative app. With the scrolling music on my iPad, I don’t have to worry about page turns, foot pedals, or poor stage lighting, and allows me to better connect to the music and audience during performances. The editing and score sharing features will also be a tremendous aid when teaching. An all-around first-class product.

Future is finally arrived into Classical Music!

This app is the greatest thing it has happened to Classical musicians in a long time! Having to deal with page turning is something from the past thanks to Blackbinder.
It’s not only helpful, but also easy to use, has a nice outlook and it’s in a constant development to make it even better!
If I had to choose only one word, that would be “Freedom”. That’s how I feel using Blackbinder, because I can focus just on my playing.

Very very helpful for live performance and recording

We have been using the BlackBinder app in concerts with Axiom Brass, and in general have been very pleased. It allows us to completely forget about turning pages and focus entirely on the music. The only comments I would have is sometimes takes a little while to figure out the exact settings for the piece (any and all tempo changes) in order for it to flow exactly with the music. But once you have that all worked out, it is fantastic. Hopefully someday there is sound recognition and it can follow along with all of the tempo changes in the music.

I also highly recommend for etude and solo use, especially when you have to turn pages, it provides a great way to have uninterrupted scrolling.

Import issues. Poor support

Cannot import a score. Receive an error message every time and developers do not answer emails. Scores they have set up look great and work well. But this is not a ForScore replacement yet

Best app for performing concerts with an iPad

Fantastic app for performing concerts! No need for pedals, or page turning. Hands free performance! Easy to read, make notes, change speed of scroll, and a consistent clean look for all your sheet music. Tons of trumpet solos, and exercises. My go to app for everyday practicing and performing. Thanks Blackbinder!

Bravo Blackbinder!

Thank you for sheet music Smooth Sailing! You’ve made my performance AND practice time fly by, and have fewer distractions. I just hit ‘start’ and Blackbinder pulls me into the music...and keep me there. Thank you for benefits I never knew I’d enjoy so much!

Effortless performing

This is an incredible tool to use for performing musicians. It offers a hands-free, worry-free experience and eliminates a physical barrier between performer and audience. I have performed over a dozen concerts on this platform without any issue. Note: it is best to turn your iPad on airplane mode and turn off bluetooth.

No page turning!

I’ve been using Blackbinder as my primary iPad music-reading device, and I couldn’t be happier with the self-scrolling feature! Having used other apps with page turns and distracting pedal-tapping, this app allows the user to forget about the distractions of paper music and focus solely on the most important thing, the music. All you do is input the tempi you want throughout the entire piece and press start, and the music will begin moving up the screen until you arrive at the end. So easy. Another benefit is the clarity of the scores. In other apps, the only way to receive scores is to download scanned images, but Blackbinder scores are all xml files and they are so easy to read. The staves are bigger and the notes are all super clear. One downside is the amount of music currently available in the Blackbinder database. There are quite a few trumpet etudes and exercises, but I play horn, and there are only 3 pieces available right now. However, they are always updating their available scores, so I’m sure there will be more available in the near future.

Lacks the ease of use of ForScore

Not impressed. Apart from the rolling pages, it offers less than ForScore. Importing music already on my iPad doesn’t happen. And you can’t take a photo of a new piece of music to add. Disappointed.

Unable to load up my scores

This app won’t let me load in my scores from Dropbox or google drive

Amazing App!!!

It has changed the way I rehearse and perform live completely, I'm never going back to PDF or Forscore-like Apps :)

The future of music reading is here!

This is the best app ever. The staff is amazing and there’s nothing better than freeing your hands and feet from the nightmare of turning pages. Thanks BlackBinder!

No funciona

Tengo problemas para cargar partituras. Cada vez que intento exportar una, se me cierra la App. Además, no se me abren las que tengo importadas.

Not for singers

Great app in theory, but removing the lyrics from imported scores means it’s a non-starter for replacing the black binders of choral singers. A version of this that displays lyrics and allows pen notations would replace a lot of page turning sounds among choirs everywhere!

Poor app

Won’t import PDF’s. Keeps saying std:exception.
Where’s the support?

No trumpeter

I put in my instruments of violin and piano. The only music I get is for trumpets. What gives?

Needs a lot of work

One of the sample scores loaded up and worked beautifully. Then I imported a score of that was beautifully printed and it was horribly mutilated by the app. It was missing pages and missing rests and missing notes and wrong notes all over the place. Almost completely unrecognizable. Obviously unusable at this point. Might be a nice app once they work out the major problems with it. I am a professional musician and use forScore and Newzik as my primary music reading apps. It would be nice to add this one after it becomes functional.
