Really helped me learn

It’s made learning the statistics and the right moves in blackjack an actually rewarding and fun process. The streaks are a nice feature cause there’s real incentive to make the right move and the sounds and animations are pretty nice too haha

First Class… except:

Buying out of ads was limited to my iPad and not my iPhone phone. No bueno.

True count is calculated wrong

You need to look very hard at how you are calculating the true count. It is not dividing the running count by the # of decks REMAINING.

Response from developer

Thank you for pointing this out, Matt. The true count is now being computed correctly as of version app 1.7. Please give it a try, and if you are enjoying the game with this fix, could you please consider re-reviewing it, to help others find the app.

Great Trainer

Awesome to see the odds of each play. Really nice training app.

Perfect

Very good at teaching odds for different hands, and letting you know exactly what the odds are in case you feel like making a different choice. Fantastic. Also fun to play!

Not Accurate

The more you bet, the higher your chance of losing. Needs to be corrected.

Response from developer

The cards are completely random, regardless of betting strategy or anything else. Unfortunately, with randomness, you will sometimes see streaks and patterns. The game uses fake money, so there is no reason to penalize the player for any betting strategy. I'm sure if you continue to play the game, you will find rewarding patterns in the randomness as well.

Go with the odds

Blackjack is always fun, but this game also helps you learn about the right way to play, which is playing the odds, not what your gut tells you. The animations do a great job of making it feel authentic. I enjoy the extra features too, like trying to get as many correct plays per the odds in a row as I can (Pro Play Streaks) and card counting help. I’ve never tried card counting before, and I’m getting pretty good at it now thanks to this game.
