great intro to dnd

think this is the first app i’ve reviewed. developer has done an awesome job of creating a text based dnd game faithful to 5e rules. the writing is solid, he’s obviously dm’d before and he’s certainly had novice dnd players at the table before because the rules are clearly and progressively explained and not just dumped in your lap all at once. you can try it out for free and then it’s just two bucks for the full game which is completely reasonable to support this developer. also it plays in airplane mode. hope he continues to develop games like this. i would happily pay for more content for this game.

Response from developer

Thank you so much for your thoughtful response, KC. It made my day. I grew up in the '80s and always wanted to be able to share the magic I felt as a kid playing campaigns for hours on end...so many worlds, modules, new editions, trips to spend my allowance on a new miniature. Then there was the the development of computers, text games like Zork, the Hobbit...all wonderful but without real mechanics. When the powers that be released the SRD 5e under the Creative Commons, I couldn't believe it. I just wanted to share the joy and magic of my childhood but with real mechanics. I knew in an era of quick fixes and short attention many wouldn't get it, but I was hoping there would be a few out there like you that could appreciate it. You even nailed my history and intentions exactly.! Thank you for jumping into the world of Lunaria.....Jeremy

The Real Deal!!

This game is just like real DnD with a DM. The character is complete and it explains all of the 5e rules of combat with every DnD Weapon! This is the real deal in throwback text RPG. I love it.

Blades of the half arc

Very easy to navigate for a rookie? Easy learning, explained well

So far so good!

Been playing almost all day today and been absolutely loving every minute of it.

I would recommend to friends for sure!

Don’t want to spoil anything but work a try if you’re on the fence about it.
