Blaulicht Gießen

New in version 3.5 More color, more overview Warnings in the new design • Population protection warnings now show the warning area as a large map at the very top – a tip enlarges it. Colors and headings are based on the warning level, behavioral instructions are displayed as numbered steps on their own map, and how long the warning is valid you can see at a glance. Credibility directly on the Blitz list • Each rated flashing alert already shows in the list at the top right how credible it is – green for high approval, orange or red for low approval. The green eye indicates when the flashing alert was last confirmed. The cards have become more compact. Filter by type of flash • At the top of the flash list you can see how many flashes of each type are currently active – a tip on "Mobile", "Trailer" & co. only shows this type. Colored headings make the types even easier to recognize. Next flash in a glance • If you have released the location, the nearest flashing light is now highlighted at the very top of the list. You can also recognize flashing lights near you by the orange distance indicator. Distances are updated more reliably, even while you are on the road. Colored live ticker • The timeline in the live ticker now displays the color of the type of event – e.g., blue for police, red for fire department – and reader submissions remain orange. When a live ticker is running, the latest update pulses, and at the top it shows how many updates there are already. Categories with their own color • Each category now has a fixed color – in the category overview and as a colored line above the title of a post. This way you can immediately recognize from which area a post comes from. More clear communications • In the notifications, a color strip appears on each card to indicate what type of message it is—post, flash, warning, and more. Unread notifications are highlighted, with the days colored differently. New: Warning widget • A new homescreen widget shows you current NINA population protection warnings at a glance - with warning level, affected municipality and how long they still apply. New: Widget "Confirm citizen notification" • Like the Blitzer widget, there is now an interactive home screen widget for citizen notifications as well: confirm or mark as completed directly from the home screen without opening the app. For multiple notifications, it automatically switches every 30 seconds, or you can scroll through using the arrow keys yourself. Widgets: directly to the notification • If you type on a single line in the flash, citizen notification or warnings widget, the appropriate notification will now open directly – instead of just the general overview. Error fixed • The social media links and subtitles were missing from the menu at times—they are now back. Opening the categories via "More" could have crashed the app, which has been fixed. The live ticker archive now displays the latest ticker at the very top, and distances are listed with a German comma (e.g., "1.8 km"). Thank you for being part of Blaulicht Gießen! Your messages and feedback make the app better for everyone.
