Fun while it lasts
First of all, I’d like to say that while I could play it, Blenderman was very enjoyable and unique. I loved trying to get the achievements, and the graphics are very whimsical and perfectly match the gameplay. However, the problem is that the achievements don’t go at the speed of the player. This seems negligible, but due to this, the gameplay slowed to a grind and progression became rare.
I played the game for 30 minutes, and had fun. I bought some upgrades, made some drinks, and so on. However, soon enough the only achievements I could do required an item I hadn’t bought yet. Though I was trying to save for another item, I didn’t really care, so I just bought so I could get back to playing.
I played for another 30 minutes, but then the same issue appeared, except this time 2 achievements required one item and the other required another. I spent 10 minutes making normal smoothies without getting achievements so I could buy the one that 2 achievements required. As it turned out, to be able to use half of those items (I bought a pack of new items I could put in my smoothie), I had to buy a bigger blender.
At this point I was pretty annoyed, and tried to continue making smoothies to buy one of them, but it took so long and became so slow that I eventually just gave up and uninstalled it.
None of this would be a problem if making smoothies by themselves without getting achievements wasn’t so unrewarding. A single achievement gets you 100 coins, or whatever the currency is called, I forget. The best smoothie I ever made gave me about 30. Achievements are the only really efficient way to get money, and completing the achievements is the most fun part, anyway.
There are two ways this could be fixed: either make the smoothies yield more money on their own, or make more achievements available before you inevitably have to start just doing boring grinding. I would totally reinstall this game if one of those happened. Or both.
