About

Every day, cameras you never see are photographing your license plate and logging where you were and when. Blindspot maps them. WHAT IT DOES See the readers around you. Every known automated license plate reader near you, with the direction it faces and the area its lens actually covers — not just a pin on a map. Get a warning before you reach one. Drive normally and Blindspot tells you when a reader is coming up, whether or not you asked it for directions. Route around them. Ask for directions and you get two options: the fastest route, and the one that passes the fewest cameras. Each shows its exact cost in minutes, so the trade is yours to make. Keep a private record. An on-device log of the readers you have actually driven past. It never leaves your phone. WHERE THE DATA COMES FROM Camera locations come from OpenStreetMap, where they are contributed and verified by the public, and are used under the Open Database License. Blindspot ships with a copy on your device and refreshes it weekly. Public data is imperfect. A device may have been removed, moved, or recorded in the wrong place. Every camera in the app shows when it was last verified and how many people have reported it, and any of them can be disputed from inside the app. PRIVACY No accounts. No analytics. No tracking. Your location is used on your device to show what is near you and to warn you. Your exposure log stays on your phone. Requesting directions or searching for a destination sends those places to Apple Maps to get a route back — that part cannot happen on-device, and the privacy policy says so plainly. SUBSCRIPTION Blindspot Pro - 3.99 USD per week - 34.99 USD per year Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase.
