Easy and Comfortable Way to Match

I really like that the matches are quick (saves me time on swiping). Talking over the phone first (with promps) takes the guessing game out of meeting a complete stranger. You know you click when feel that time just flew by!

For real connections

I’m so tired of dating apps I almost didn’t try this one. Boy am I glad I did. My faith is restored - this is such a great, refreshing, authentic way to date. Loving blink date!

A new era of dating

Online dating is really hard for me. I have a hard time even getting a chance to actually have a real conversation with anyone. Blink let’s me actually talk to someone off the bat and I’ve had some really awesome conversations with people because of that. As a male dater, in my head, this is a win-win. I either meet someone who I really like after a Blink Date in real life & things keep going or if I realize after my Blink date I’m not interested, I still get to have a cool convo with a real person & save myself the stress of going on a first date in real life first (like all other app make me do) and realizing only after then I’ve wasted time/money on someone I don’t see things going very far with.

A better way to date

Using Blink has been a great change of pace after using the other big apps like Tinder, Hinge, or Bumble. With Blink I'm actually able to have conversations and get to know people, completely skipping over or avoiding the texting phase that often fizzles out without ever meeting up.

This app needs more work

I tried to go on two dates. The first date said we were on a date but I couldn’t hear anything but a ringing sound. Then I closed the app to try to rejoin and the app is stuck on a prompt that says end date or rejoin. I try to click the rejoin option but it doesn’t let you. The second date we connected I could hear the other person but they couldn’t hear me. I really wanted to try this app but it wouldn’t let me.

Refreshing twist to dating app experience

I found Blink to be such a fun person-first dating experience - it’s an immediate vibe check that so often gets delayed or never happens in other dating apps. It seems intimidating at first, to chat with on the phone with a stranger, but it’s like any random encounter you might have with a person you’ve met throughout your day. It light, it’s fun, it’s easy and you get to decide all along the way whether you’re up for meeting this person face to face or not. A great safe way to push yourself, and the dating scene, outside the box. I’m enjoying my experience so far!

Learned about the app on tiktok and thought it looked really interesting! I just did my first “blink date” and actually had a reeeally good convo with a guy. I hate the small talk texting, so being able to jump right in is huge for me. Excited to see an app like this finally

An incredibly refreshing take on dating apps. Blink dating takes traditional dating apps and flips it on it’s head in the best way possible!! I was hesitant to try Blink because I didn’t feel ready to date again, but Blink took all the worst parts of dating apps, and got rid of them. The fact that you start with a voice call cuts through all the fluff and brings you back to the most important part of dating- is there a connection, do you have chemistry? Blink is easy, refreshing, and FUN. I’m already looking forward to my next couple of Blink dates. The founder is deeply passionate about what she does and that comes across through the app, the process, and every interaction. Don’t sleep on this, download the app and try Blink now!!!

Refreshing take on a dating app!

I found it very helpful to be able to talk to someone instead of the monotony of swiping left or right. The addition of prompts is a nice boost! The option to put in your date availability and having a match made is also very refreshing. Some slight flaws in the app with messages. Looking forward to seeing more improvements.

Cool to ACTUALLY talk to people

With the other apps I tried it didn’t seem like it was going anywhere, so decided to give Blink Date a try.

It’s incredible how physically talking to someone can shape an online dating interaction.

Highly highly recommend it 👍!

Date didn’t show up

5 stars for the idea. But my date didn’t show up. It was my first Blink date. Waited for 6 minutes but she just didn’t show up! What’s the point to use this app if people don’t show up? Waste time and mental energy.

I appreciate the 5 stars for the idea! I'm really bummed your date didn't show up - that's definitely not an experience we want any member to have, let alone as their first experience. I'm not sure if you got my email post-date, but I do monitor every date and restrict members' ability to schedule dates after 3 no shows. I know it doesn’t make up for being ghosted, but I promise to continue working to remove ghosters from the Blink dating community. I hope you give us another chance 💜

Crashing app

I was really excited to try this app - and was even more excited that I got a notification that a date was scheduled the first day I signed up. Unfortunately since that notification happened, the app keeps crashing completely. I’ve tried to reinstall and everything. Doesn’t give me confidence that those scheduled for dates with me would even be able to show up. A great concept - but wish it would work.

If you're outside our initial area, we unfortunately may not have folks nearby to match you with quite yet. We hope to be able to offer local matches for you in the near future.

Finally, a new idea in dating apps!

I’m glad to see an alternative to all of the swiping apps! Those have started to feel more like a game than actually dating. Blink feels like it dominates less of my time and also makes it easier to actually go on dates.

Great concept, confusing execution

I like the idea of this app, but it doesn’t actually seem to work currently. It may just be that it’s too new to have enough subscribers to make it work, but the dates either vanish shortly after being scheduled or the people don’t show. It texts and emails you that you have a date, often in duplicate which is pretty annoying. There was an email sent that this was fixed with an upgrade, but it doesn’t seem to be fixed for me. I hope this takes off, but currently it’s not really worth my time.

We also appreciate the feedback about dates disappearing and no shows, as well, and are working on functionality to improve how scheduling works!

Great concept and execution

App works well and is spot on with its thesis. Oftentimes the people we think are our “type” based on looks are truly not our soulmates. This app helps people be more open minded to the possibilities that are out there.
