I spent hours updating my map and now with the latest update everything is gone. I can’t even access a map. It asks me to input a city that I don’t even live by. And then it says will email you once that’s available. Before this update, it was like Google maps I could go into any city. What in the?!?!?!

UPDATE -changed from 1 star to 4 stars since developer got back to me…. Thanks! My only complaint is it’s always dark mode. I’d rather view a map with white vrs black background… that one thing would make it 5 stars.

Thank you for trying the app and spending so much time importing your places and your feedback here. We apologize for the bad experience here and understand the pain it caused. You can for now select "San Francisco" and you'll have access just like before. We added this for new users to make it easier for them to see how the app works and to limit the number of new users, since we're frequently making lots of major changes. There was a bug that showed the model for existing users that should be fixed in the next release. Please email support@blinkmapsapp.com if there are any other issues or if you have more feedback. Best app for move at night, plan routes, for good items

I come to USA and I no know where to buy items, such as muffler, ammunition, disguises, dog treat. I put locations in this app to plan route, because I can only move at night and must be swift. So far, I am alive, in spite of enemies, thanks to Blink Map.

Revolutionary

Now that my parole has ended I am ready to explore the world and Blink Map makes that possible. My life is different now, richer, more variegated. I’m seeing sights I only imagined before. There is a computer at McDonald’s now. After eight years (three on house arrest) it can be daunting to “get back out there,” but it is much easier with Blink Map in tow.

A way to de-cloud yourself.

This app for some reason doesn’t advertise this fact, but your bookmarks are not tied to any third party service, so it’s fully private.

You can easily use this to de-google yourself by importing your google places takeout.

The sharing workflow is pretty genius too.

It’s one of these very few apps that does exactly what it’s supposed to without any nonsense.

Finally a map for my saved bookmarks!

I am a power user for Google map, and I hated the experience for using bookmarks in Google: I have hundreds of places that have the same icon, I can’t easily categorize them into restaurants, or hotels or shops, I can’t filter on places that I haven’t been, or only show bars.

BlinkMap changes all that. After importing my Google bookmarks, I can finally give every category custom emojis, and choose to show only places in the selected categories; I can mark a place as visited, and I can choose to show only places places I visited or haven’t visited.

Since I have thousands of places, the importing takes a while. But it’s worth it for the features that come with it once they’re all imported. Besides, I was customizing my list with emojis so the waiting didn’t feel long.

I hope the app can add features that allow me to edit lists with my friends for our travel plans.
