Have recently purchased a Blipbr to add to the security system on my caravan.
I chose Blipbr because it didn’t require a power source from the caravan and can perform on basic batteries, purchased from the supermarket, for up to 5 yrs.
It comes with the requirement for an annual subscription for the GPS monitoring app on my cell phone.
There is a tamper alarm built in and it reports by txt to my cell phone as soon as
1. The base unit is detached from its mount.
2. The caravan begins a journey
3. The caravan ends it’s journey
4. Its easily switched to live tracking from the app on my phone and then shows actual location points along its journey.
It does exactly what I wanted it to do and doesn’t need to be connected to an external power supply.
If my caravan was to be stolen I would know about it within minutes of it leaving its stored location.
I also have installed a hitch lock and wheel clamp both of which are very visible to a potential thief, to meet the requirements of my insurance company.
