2 star app, 5 star website
I really like the Blipfoto website and the whole ethos behind it. Full marks for that.
But the app could really do with some love. It feels dated and doesn’t size correctly. I’m using an iPhone 8 and when making a diary entry, the text doesn’t scroll up. So I can be writing and lose the words under the keyboard, so that I’m writing without seeing what I type. Not good.
Also, the notification buttons don’t respond easily to taps, So often the only way to read any comments on your picture is to head online and read them there.
I know the venture is mainly run by volunteers, but there should be some money in the kitty to polish up this app?

Put me off
I wanted to give this app a go for the new year but after trying for over 20 minutes just to log in and being left in a spiral of “verify your email address”/“your password is now wrong”/“your account needs to be verified again”/“something went wrong” I have been utterly put off and frustrated. I’m off to find a reliable photo-a-day app that can function in its most basic purpose.

Great community owned app
Blipfoto is something different as it’s a community owned site. Brilliant for sharing photos and stories and being part of an incredibly supportive set of members. I’ve rarely had an issue uploading from my phone - do it virtually ever day. Great app and great site.
cannot log in
I simply cannot log in. Please fix this!
Unreliable
Most of the time, the app doesn't allow you to post photos from your iPhone. It just returns an error message saying "sorry something went wrong".
I think this error is to do with the way the iPhone (doesn't) handle the EXIF data attached to photos, which isn't compatible with the Blipfoto app.
The best way I have found to resolve this is first to open your photo on a photo editing app like Snapseed, then export it again to the camera roll. This process adds the EXIF data and the photo can be successfully uploaded using the Blipfoto app.

Useful on the move
A useful app while on the move. I'd prefer it to the website if it rotated pictures into landscape, and you could see 'extra' blips
Great, Review Update
I have an almost 1700 consecutive blip streak going and I thought I had the perfect shot one day on my phone for that day. I tried to post the photo and the app had crashed. I deleted it. Installed it again and tried once more. Forget it! This thing is worthless.
They say it's compatible with iPad but I haven't found it. Maybe I'll look when this gets better. It's got to!

Update: since the most recent update the app is working smoothly. I think the original problem (during 2015) was a result of mismanagement by Polaroid. Blipfoto is now owned by the members and administered by a Board of expert current blippers. They are doing a spectacular job.
Uploading and blogging are simple and easy. I still prefer to shoot with my DSLR camera but that is not always possible. I'm now closing in on 2000 consecutive posts. This international community is wonderful.
This isn't Instagram (or their ilk) but a way to journal and document your life. It's for anyone who likes photography as a means to communicate and share your part of the world with the rest of it.
Long live Blipfoto.

Ok idea, not much community
I tried this app about a year ago, I don't think it was Polaroid related then? I did not enjoy it all. I didn't find the community welcoming. There was very little interaction and commenting so I lost interest after a few months. The idea is good but without a good community of members, not a lot of fun.

Waste of time
The worst app I ever used. I just wanted to make a 365 photo project with this. However the app will never let you upload a photo. The publish button will stay greyed out forever and their support pages and forum topics remain unanswered. The brand "poloraid" made me trust, yet I was disappointed with this.

Rubbish Update
Updated the app to the latest version and the app no longer works. Every time I click on anything it tells me the Client is Unavailable. V. Annoying PLEAS FIX IT!!!

The Error message works
The only thing that works is the error message. I got signed out without realizing it. I thought signing in would solve the problem, I still get an error message stating, "Sorry. The client is invalid."
I've enjoyed using blip since 2007, but it looks like I will be deleting the app.

Great app now that it works.. I'd like to see the camera settings of uploaded photo s tho.. like u could on the previous app ;)
Could be better!
The original version worked....it worked!! This version doesn't work properly....never has and despite updates still doesn't work properly. I search for 'nearby' blips and it just gives me a random selection that are certainly not near me. Why do you release half hearted apps when you used to have one that WORKED?!!

Excellent now
I wrote a scathing review of the previous version but all the faults have now been addressed. This is a great way to access Blipfoto. I've been posting my daily photo for over two years now and I love it.
