Blit

Blit is a pixel art studio for Mac, iPad and iPhone — one app, one purchase, all your devices. Start free and stay free. Pencil, eraser, fill, shapes, the colour picker, selection and PNG export cost nothing and never expire. No trial countdown on the basics. WHAT YOU GET FREE • Pencil, eraser, fill and shape tools • Colour picker, palettes and colour harmony • Selection, copy and paste • Pixel-perfect strokes and dithering • Zoom, pan and PNG export STANDARD • Layers with blend modes and per-layer opacity • Frame-by-frame animation with onion skin and tags • Tilesets, tilemap painting and tilemap export • Outline and drop shadow • Animated GIF and spritesheet export PRO • Skeletal rigging with inverse kinematics and auto-rig • Pose timeline, keyframes and one-click idle animation • Remove background, segment into layers, photo-to-pixel conversion • Wang auto-tiling and dual-grid terrain generators • Godot SpriteFrames and .aseprite export BUILT FOR DRAWING Apple Pencil pressure changes your brush size, with a curve you can tune, while a resting palm is ignored. On the Mac, graphics tablet pens get pressure too. Panels adapt to the screen: inline columns on a big display, a slide-over drawer on a narrow iPad, a bottom sheet on iPhone. MADE FOR GAMES Export straight into your engine. Spritesheets ship with JSON metadata, tilemaps come with a tileset PNG, CSV map and manifest that Godot, Unity and Tiled all understand. YOUR WORK IS YOURS Everything you make in Blit is your original work, yours to use commercially with no attribution required. Files are stored locally on your device — Blit collects nothing, has no account and needs no network connection. Blit saves carefully and keeps local version history, so you can step back to an earlier state of a drawing. SUBSCRIPTIONS Blit Standard and Blit Pro are auto-renewing monthly subscriptions. Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase. A subscription renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours of the period ending. Manage or cancel in your App Store account settings. Blit Lifetime is a one-time purchase, not a subscription.
