Worthy of 6 stars
This is the most challenging breakout game I’ve ever played. The first few levels on Pack A are fairly easy but I thought level 8 was completely insane and it’s taken me 4 days and around 60 attempts to beat. On that particular level you’re bombarded with power downs that shrink the paddle and make the ball floaty, and not helped by the ball constantly changing colour. You need laser focus to follow the ball and keep the paddle close in case the ball falls through a gap in the bricks. Blink and it’s game over. I actually did a little victory dance when I finally cleared that level.
The following levels don’t get any easier and challenged my breakout instinct of never letting the ball fall below the paddle. One thing I’ve noticed about playing Block Destroyers is that it’s honed my skills and when I go to play a different breakout game, I'm smashing it.
The soundtrack is utterly fantastic, the graphics are beautiful and at times crazy, and it really is the mother of all breakout games and essential for anyone with a serious breakout addiction. A must-play.

This game is almost impossible to beat. Why make the free levels so hard and expect people to buy others levels when the free ones are almost impossible to beat
