I can’t go to most websites that have nothing to do with anything bad, and yet I am blocked.

I’m not able to get into Amazon, not able to look at metric sizes of Allen wrenches, not able to go to school websites, etc.

The app is just an overall pain.

The app itself seems to operate okay, but it does a poor job at blocking content.

I put several common explicit keywords in the block list. Then went to safari to see if it would block those words. It did, but only the word or variations of the words that I put in the block list. I typed in a few other common slang words, clicked on images, and it immediately brought up a plethora of perverse/nude images and gifs. What the heck?! I’m I supposed to type in ever filthy keyword in the dictionary to get it to block content?! The built-in Apple content blocker does a better job than this app. Keep trying.

Great! But there’s an issue...

I downloaded the app in order to test it out (I’m a youth leader for my church youth group) it works great on Safari. However, I found out out that you can work around the app and just download another browser such as Google Chrome in order to find adult content. Blockade doesn’t work on other search engines. I hope this can be fixed in the future.

This app is charging me and I don’t even have it downloaded!

I downloaded the app and did test run... worked for typical searches. But I googled “women” which lead to “attractive women” which lead to images. I clicked on an image and the image sent me to an advertisement of a fake hook up site with nude women. I would share the link but that would go against the purpose of this app.

The point is, if you really want to watch pornography there’s loop holes around the app. Unfortunately it takes creativity.

I cancel my subscription cause I didn’t have money in my account, but I still saw that money was taken in my bank account. Now I have an overdraft paid fee. Where am I gonna get the money? I need a refund please. I don’t need the app. I haven’t even used it. I need a refund ASAP. Before the banks start putting money cause I have. A negative 32$

There are free apps that let you do the same thing as this app. I think it’s a shame that they are using a spiritual and mental issue and trying to make bank off of people’s struggles. Wack....also they mad rude in pricing on Instagram DMs

I really like the premise of this app but unfortunately the usage is limited and I cannot imagine paying to use it. It only works for the Safari browser.

If you go to the “Screen Time” page in your iPhone’s settings, you can block adult content across your whole phone and all browsers for free, even choosing specific websites to block access to.

The only advantage that Blockade has over this free option already on your phone is that Blockade can block specific search terms. But I cannot stress enough that this advantage is undermined by the fact that Blockade is specifically for the safari browser only.

Save some money, pass on this app, use the “Screen Time” settings already on your phone.

Not sure why my searches for real estate disclosure rules regarding “condo” or “condominium” fees are being blocked. Sometimes business people need to search industry terms and rules on their phone for convenience. I realize that a “condoms” search might be the hangup here, but condoms are not pornography and laws regarding condominiums most certainly are not. Refine your product.

Well, I noticed a 30 dollar charge in my bank account after forgetting to cancel my free trial with this app, my fault. But, since I was charged the steep price for one year “subscription” of this app, I wanted to get the most from it. Disappointingly, it does not accurately or efficiently block anything I enter to the block list. If anything, I have been charged 30 dollars to learn I could have been using the more efficient content blocker already programmed into my iPhone. Yet, I will keep trying to utilize this app, but be warned by this review.

Good Evening Apple Store, Thank you for authorizing the usage of “Blocked- porn blocking app” on iPhone devices. Recently, I shared my sincerest appreciation for this account via instagram. A month after creating a new instagram account I received illicit and tactless messages in my direct message segment. It made me extremely uncomfortable to create an account altogether because I was concerned with this occurring. Shortly after fighting these random messages with constantly deleting them whenever they appeared the “Blocked-Porn blocking” account came across my news feed. I immediately followed it in hopes of these messages from reoccurring. Thankfully, it sufficed. Please keep this application/account alive and active as it benefits the quality of its followers lives. God bless you!

Great Clean-Up App

This app is wonderful, and I definitely recommend downloading it for yourself! This is also the perfect tool if you have children you are sharing your device with. It keeps all the nastiness off that I do not care to see, nor do I care for anyone else to see on my device, while not getting in the way of my favorite apps!

Blockade app helped me set up the app when I was having trouble. The staff responded very quickly and also answered all my questions!! I’m already seeing a big difference from when I have fully installed the app! I’m glad the blockade app staff are readily available for anything!
