About
Most blood pressure apps stop at two numbers. BPInsight shows you four, because every reading tells you more than most apps reveal.
When you measure your blood pressure, your cuff records Systolic (top) and Diastolic (bottom) pressure. From those two numbers, BPInsight also calculates Mean Arterial Pressure (MAP) and Pulse Pressure .
These two values help interpret what your blood pressure reading means, not just what the numbers are.
By tracking them over time, BPInsight helps you see patterns in your blood pressure, not just single readings.
BPInsight highlights
• Automatically calculates MAP and Pulse Pressure
• Clear trend tracking across days and weeks
• Personal baseline based on your own readings

What is MAP?
Mean Arterial Pressure (MAP) is the average pressure in your arteries during a full heartbeat when the heart squeezes and when it relaxes.
This pressure helps maintain steady blood flow throughout the body during the entire heartbeat cycle.
Because MAP reflects the average pressure during the whole heartbeat cycle, it usually changes more slowly than individual blood pressure readings. This can make it easier to see the steady background pressure your body maintains over time.
BPInsight calculates MAP for every entry and tracks it over time so you can see how your readings trend as a pattern, not just as one number.
What is Pulse Pressure?
Pulse Pressure is the difference between your systolic and diastolic blood pressure.
For example, a reading of 120/80 has a pulse pressure of 40 .
Pulse pressure reflects the force generated by each heartbeat and how the arterial system responds to that wave of blood leaving the heart. Because it relates to both the heart’s pumping action and the behavior of the arteries, pulse pressure provides additional context alongside the traditional blood pressure numbers.
Tracking pulse pressure over time helps reveal longer-term patterns in your readings rather than focusing on a single measurement.
Why trends matter
As you log readings, BPInsight builds a personal baseline and displays how MAP and Pulse Pressure change over days and weeks. This helps you understand how your readings behave over time.
How BPInsight works
Enter your systolic and diastolic reading and BPInsight instantly calculates two additional values, Mean Arterial Pressure (MAP) and Pulse Pressure, giving you four insights from every measurement.
