What's New in Bloom
1.3.0
October 15, 2026
Bloom can now point out patterns in your cycle history that are worth mentioning to a doctor. Cycle Deviations reviews the last six months of periods you logged and tells you if it sees irregular cycles, infrequent periods, prolonged periods, or spotting between periods. It shows you the numbers it found, explains what they mean in plain language, and lets you export your cycle history to bring to an appointment. It is free for everyone, and it is not a diagnosis. Your predictions will change after this update, and here is why. Until now, your predicted next period, ovulation and fertile window were based on the cycle length you entered when you first set up Bloom. Bloom now works out your average cycle and period length from the periods you actually log, and recalculates every time you add or correct an entry. Your fertile window also widens when your recent cycles vary a lot and narrows when they are consistent, so it is honest about where ovulation could fall. If your real cycles differ from what you entered at setup, expect the dates to move. These are estimates from your own data, not a form of birth control. Also new: • Overnight temperature (Apple Watch Series 8 or later, or Ultra): turn it on in the temperature screen and Bloom reads your overnight wrist temperature from Apple Health to confirm that ovulation has happened, then narrows your fertile window to match. This is wrist skin temperature, not basal body temperature; it confirms ovulation after the fact and cannot tell you ovulation is coming • An optional quiet notification when your watch recorded no temperature overnight, so you know to take BBT by hand that morning • Basal body temperature opens in °F or °C to match your region, and remembers your choice • If you use hormonal birth control, predictions carry a note that they are rough • Week 41 and 42 content for pregnancies that go past the due date Fixes: • The Calendar no longer closes unexpectedly after adding a note to a day that already had a log • Periods imported from Apple Health no longer land a day early in some time zones • Logging flow or symptoms from Home no longer clears that day's other entries • Flow intensity is no longer lost when you confirm a day as the start of a period • Logging your first period after pregnancy now counts toward your predictions • And a number of smaller fixes, including corrected Korean and English text throughout
