Bug in app
After recent update I found the app opened very slowly, some times it spent 2-3 minutes to open. Another problem I found was some sentences cannot show fully, cutting words, word out of the screen edge.
The app is perfect for mastering the American accent!
The app is handy. I’ve been using it for more than a month, and I certainly see my pronunciation improving. I highly recommend this app!
Helpful app in learning English
I’ve been using this app for a month and I’m already feel positive dynamics. It definitely helped me be more aware with sounds I use, and helped to improve my pronunciation! Also I want to pay attention on dictionary in this app, I use it everyday to check correct pronunciation of new words I came across, much better that another translation apps that mispronounces words

Effective and fun
I have been using the app with my students since its inception. It provides invaluable pronunciation information and support. The students who use it regularly as prescribed show the most improvement in their pronunciation. My students find it incredible and so do I. I highly recommend giving it a try.

The app can’t hear me
I’m playing the cards game and when I’m done to speak it says “I’m hearing a lot of background noises” but I heard the record and it’s okay, I can’t hear any background noises. It’s always the same, and I’m always in a quiet place, so that doesn’t makes sense

Hi Melissa, The recording mechanism is based on your phone's hardware, and not our internal app software. As such, I recommend getting your phone serviced and looked into, as the microphone is likely damaged. I hope that you have are able to resolve the issue and good luck in improving your confidence speaking English!
Blue Canoe App and Color Vowel System
I accidentally discovered the Color Vowel System a couple of weeks ago when I was looking for a video to teach the English vowels to my ESL students. I am a linguist and I can vouch for the research behind the system, which is nothing less than ingenious. My students just received a trial subscription and they are enamored with it. It is a game changer for teaching ESL! Highly recommended!

Navigate English with Blue Canoe
I have been using Blue Canoe in my high school ESL classroom for over a year. It has been amazing. The students enjoy the challenging variety of conversation topics. They eagerly try to improve in their scores because the feedback is instantaneous. All the other features and activities that go with it are ever expanding. I’ve given each student their own color vowel chart and it is has really helped to differentiate and attack pronunciation and strengthen fluency. Company support is incredible and truly shows their heart is in the right place.

Great Independent Practice
I had my students use this app during the spring semester when our face-to-face college class went online during the COVID lockdown. We were spread out around the world, so this was a wonderful tool to ensure that they continued to practice their pronunciation focusing on word and sentence stress. They really enjoyed it because of the ability to do it at any time, as many times as they wished, and to do it in private. Great Ed Tech tool!

As an Instructor of adult learners, I really like this APP. It’s easy to use, fun, and takes minimum time away from busy lives, with maximum results. The Color Vowel System is easy for students to learn and start applying right from the start of the quarter. From the data generated within the APP, it’s clear that the students who spend just 10 minutes a day, make progress. Student feedback is positive, and that’s important. They confirm it not only clarifies pronunciation puzzles, but it helps grow vocabulary, reading and writing skills. I’m using the APP for a third quarter. It frees instruction time for other pronunciation activities. Blue Canoe, well done!
