Save the day
I went into one of the big box retailers to buy some DEF and used the app to find out everything was from 2019. The typical shelf life is two years and I am so glad I did not buy this and put it in my Mercedes and any potential problems that would’ve occurred.

Hi! It was not intended to be a scam. What doesn’t work about it? We are working to implement the new code structure. We will hopefully have a new release within a week. UPDATE. The app now is capable of all variations of the codes.

i just downloaded this app and it DOES NOT REFLECT NEW BOX CODING blue def has switched to. the new codes no longer include letters for the plant that manufactures the batch. this app immediately rejects what is entered when the code is all numbers. Please update this app so it reflects the new code naming convention… feels like i got ripped off… unable to email developer… seems like a great opportunity for someone to make a relevant app that is sorely needed. PLEASE UPDATE!

My apologies we didn’t see this message. We will work to get a new release out as soon as we can with the new codes. UPDATE. The new version should take all codes into consideration.
Helpful App
This app is simple for anyone wanting to easily determine the age of Blue DEF fluid before purchasing. All you need to do is enter a portion of the code on the box and the app tells you the manufacture date and age of the fluid. The app is very helpful as I would always forget how to read the code. Being able to adjust the age dates is a plus as well.
