We understand the hesitation around Background App Refresh and its impact on battery life. Here's how it works in our app: location is only accessed while you are actively clocked into a job. Background App Refresh is required solely to ensure that time and location are recorded accurately during that active shift for example, if you briefly switch to another app or lock your screen. The moment you clock out, all tracking stops completely. There is no monitoring, no data collection, and no location access of any kind outside of active work hours. Privacy is not an afterthought for us, it is a core principle built into how this app functions. We are deeply committed to ensuring that our officers' data is handled with the highest level of care and transparency. Location data is strictly limited to active work sessions and is never accessed outside of that context.
