What's New in Blue News Network

October 27, 2026
Custom-trained on-device model. Our newscast drafting engine now runs a model trained specifically for Blue News Network — trained on thousands of examples of our broadcast style. On-device drafts are dramatically more consistent: cleaner segments, fewer retries, and stories that hold their length, all still generated entirely on your device with no internet required. The new model appears in Settings → Summarization as "BNN Newscast FT 0.6B" (378 MB download) and is selected by default where available; the previous model remains as a fallback. Also: fixed label spacing in the model picker.
