Award for Going Backwards
Someone at Bluebeam should get an award for “Best in screwing up an app and making it worse” Put some effort into your app. Your loosing customers to other alternatives. “Used by construction professionals”, only the ones behind a desk cuz ya can’t use this in the field. SAD!
New app but fewer features
Since Jan 1 Bluebeam has closed Bluebeam Revu and forced Bluebeam Cloud which has fewer tools, worse interface and harder to navigate. Revu wasn’t great and crashed frequently but this is worse. I can’t fathom why Bluebeam is doing this.
<update> I’m continuing to use this with the continued updates and it still disappoints. While the developer promises to improve I am struggling to keep working. I can’t open PDF attachments that were marked up in Bluebeam on desktop because Bluebeam Cloud considers it corrupt. I appreciate that features are being added but slowly and not just a handful of features Revu had. This is a significant deficiency in function now and I don’t know how long it will take to get back base line. I’m still very frustrated and disappointed with the way this transition has been implemented.

I wish I had added dates to the original review and the previous update. Progress has been SLOW. The developer is quick to respond to reviews promising future progress. This progress is measured in years though. Functionality is barely moved the needle. I recently saw that I might be able to import custom tools for reviews and/or seals but each one I try errors. I don’t know why I keep coming back to give it another shot. If this update is seen by the developer, I appreciate the quick communication and response but you need to start delivering results much faster.

Glorified adobe
I’m genuinely curious. What was the point of this release? We have been being warned that there was going to be a switch for over a year, yet here we are, and there’s SO many basic features missing. The line tool is gone, I can’t hide the layers I created on the PC, I can’t edit my own mark-ups, and I can’t edit my line style. My field team is refusing to use BB since the app is gutted, so now I have to go pick up paper drawings to copy into the PC side like it’s 2002 all over again. I’m at a loss for words and looking to pull my subscription in favor of Drawboard PDF, or something of the like.

Trash app that doesn’t hold a candle to other markup tools
Was so excited to see this as an app after being an avid desktop revu user. This app is clunky and has less features than the screenshot tool. Absolutely pathetic, this could have sooo much potential with something like the Apple Pencil but apparently having features and tools that free pdf apps have is asking too much for an enterprise grade tool. Really disappointed in how barebones and uninspired this app is.

Bring Revu Back
I work on an iPad without data, so I regularly sync my iPad while on WiFi to ensure I have the latest drawings, RFI, submittals, etc. This wasn’t an issue with the Revu app, however, the new app constantly logs me out, and every time I have to log back in, I have to re “download” everything, it won’t even store the last set I synced locally. This is a huge issue because it takes 3+ hours to download all this information on a project of my size. Jealous of all my coworkers who still have Revu on their iPads because it’s now basically worthless since it’s unreliable.

Bring back the old version
I’ve tried using this version of the app many times, thinking “maybe this time it will be better.” It has not. Please bring back the old version of the app or put some serious effort into making this app usable. Bluebeam for PC is THE STANDARD for the construction industry but this app is dragging that reputation down.

Get a different app
I have been a Bluebeam junkie for years, however this app is terrible. Might be good for children needing a PDF viewer that can make clouds and lines. But it barely does that. Don’t buy.
Do not pay them anything.
I paid for their iPad revu app and it worked. Now somehow it is not available. I would hesitate to pay for any software from this company. Very disappointed. You should support apps that you sold to people.

Not usable for markups at this time
I haven’t used BB on iPad since release of the new app. It’s fine as long as markups or edits of markups aren’t required. It functions as a pdf reader.

The most useless iPad software that does not lend itself to its PRIMARY USE for construction documents. An absolute failure of a program.
Bring back Revu even if it’s unsupported. This version is useless
I used to use revu for field markups on plans with my ipad and had no issues. As soon as i started with a mew company and they gave me this new bluebeam version it is borderline useless! I cant move any markups around anymore, i cant move any dimensions or set it to draw straight lines, can’t edit any lines. I’d recommend finding a 3rd party app.

Easier To Bring a Laptop on Field
I’ve been using this app for a year just in case it gets updated and saved. Bluebeam on the iPad is a joke, you only have certain tools and you can’t even change colors if you are trying to show different phases, there’s no Apple Pencil support and not that it’s necessary but you can’t even prevent accidentally touching when the Pen is selected. There’s simple things that are necessary that were neglected with this program that are on the base model on PC.

Previous app was intuitive and helpful. This one is not.

They removed file sharing when connecting to a computer.

No way to erase a markup
Just downloaded on my iPad did one squiggle with a highlighter but there was no undo, delete, or erase button or option.
Newer app less functionality. What is the point.
Have to go paper to field. As I have no way to take any notes with this application. Just view pdfs.
