Very good but just a slight issue with the tracking

Very good tracking app but just a bit of an issue with the share live tracking it still comes up I need to pay it but I already paid it.

Great App

I use it for work when I do ride alongs with driver all the time runs great accurate records easy to use only suggestion is to have the screen info have the ability to print it out
Now the app no longer saves maps thinking of canceling fix or I’m out

I used to love this app… then it went subscription

This app was incredible! I loved the ability to track my trips, share them in real time, and look back/export them for memories.

Then the developer got greedy. $5/week, or $50/yr?! No thanks.
Now my memories are trapped in this thing forever.

Don’t make my mistake. Look elsewhere.

New pricing is awful

Appalled to see the price change from 2 to 12 dollars a month. I was using the app to record my trips and share locations with my relatives so I was using it about 4-5 times a year and didn’t mind paying 2-3 bucks a month for that. But 12 is just an overkill. Found a few apps that do the same for way less.

Price increase = goodbye

It’s a solid app. I use it once a month to provide riders on the bike rides I organize with a live look at our route. I can’t justify this 2x increase in cost. Good luck!

Can’t track route on Apple Watch unless iPhone is with me.

I subscribed to the live tracking service so that family could track me during a recent obstacle race but when I tried to start the tracker on my Apple Watch series 6 (gps+cellular), it always would say “can’t reach iPhone”.
It only works if my phone is with me.
The entire reason why hi got the watch and this app what is so that I would not have to drag my phone along with me having it bounce around in my pocket and risk damaging it.
Kind of defeats the purpose of having the watch app if you still have to drag your phone along with you even though one of the selling points is that you can leave your phone behind and still live track your location from your watch.

Hate update!

Have used this app for years & hate this update! App kept shutting off & had to constantly resume. The marked location is too easy to accidentally click & can’t find anyway to get rid of the accidental marked locations. Am searching for another app to record our trips. Certainly would not recommend this app at this time.

Tech-support unavailable

Downloaded the new version lost all my old routes . Sent countless of emails to tech-support no answer back I do not recommend this app.

Almost great

I’ve been using this app since before the name change. It worked much better before they changed the name. I only mention the change because before that it never died on me. These days even with the always permission for location it often stops tracking. Should they fix this problem it would be 4 stars!

Real-time Tracking

Used this for supporters to track our progress for a fundraising kayak on the River Thames over 6 days.

All they had to do was click on a link on our website to track our progress in real time.

Just needed to remember to pause tracking at the end of each day and restart at the beginning of the next.

Received lots of positive feedback on the real-time tracking.

Love this app!!

Love this app!!

Awesome!

I absolutely love this app. It lets my family track me real time down to the smallest, most remote location. Most definitely recommend!

🤙🏻

It could definitely use the Google maps

Like Except For.....

I like everything about Bluelane except it has a tendency to quit on me. As a result I constantly monitor it instead of letting it run in the background while I do my UberEATS thing on my bicycle.

Best of its Kind!

I’ve been using this app for years to share progress with friends and family during hikes or road trips. Take some time to experiment with the app over the course of a couple of weeks and find the settings that work best for you. You can choose from high precision, at the cost of more battery and data or you can choose smart mode which is still very accurate but saves a lot of battery and data because it only updates on significant position changes.

With the new Siri shortcuts added, you can now even share a trip with friends and family without taking your hands off the wheel.

You can also generate a link and share it anywhere, via message, social media, whatever you want just paste the link.

Excellent app.

Need some improvement

This app is good, but it would of been cooler if it had an option in which it can let you mark certain points on the map, like stops, points of interest.
And also download maps.

Great App

I use it to record motorcycle rides and let others check on my progress. Works great. Only minor gripe is battery usage can be high and if not in real time it will draw straight lines without regard to actual logical road routes.

Worked great until the update

This app worked perfectly for what I needed until they updated it. When I contacted them for troubleshooting, they said I was running too many apps at once. I run 3 at one time (mileage calculator, time sheet, and Bluelane) and there was never an issue until this update. I have to run all three apps but since this one can’t keep up, it’s in the trash. Would not recommend if you need to use more than one app at a time.

Response from developer

Thousands of people use the app every day without issues. Unfortunately, we cannot be responsible for a single device with hardware or operating system faults.

Free app, pay service

I hate this baiting scheme that app companies pull. As soon as the app opens, it informs you of the subscription....click “DELETE”.

Data pig

I like this app a lot. But you have to use only your gps because it uses a ton of data in a short amount of time. It will track you just fine without cellular data turned on. You can turn on your data for this app for a short time just to be able to see the map. Don’t forget to turn the data back off though!!
