I really like the sound quality and noise cancellation of the BlueParrott S650-XT, but there is a serious problem that needs to be fixed.
This is my SECOND S650-XT with the same issue. When I am listening to audio or using an app and an incoming phone call comes through, the headset can completely shut itself off. There is no “Power Off” announcement—it just dies. After that, the power button will not turn it back on. I have to plug the headset into a charger before it will turn on again, even when the battery still has plenty of charge.
I have updated to firmware 1.21, factory-reset the headset, forgotten and re-paired it with my iPhone, and the problem still happens.
After researching this, I found other S650-XT owners describing the SAME shutdown problem, including having to connect the charger before the headset will turn back on.
For a premium headset designed for professional drivers and phone calls, this should not be happening. BlueParrott needs to investigate and fix this issue.

One problem
I like it but sometimes it randomly hangs up is it just mine ?
App and device connectivity sucks
When my headset is already connected to my phone, when I am in the app, it still searches to connect and show the status of the device in the app. And at times it still doesn’t shows and give me the message that the app can’t connect to the headset and prompt me to move it closer or cut the headset on, but the headset is closer to the phone and actually connected to the device.

They don’t make it so you can update the firmware without a computer. Many of us truckers don’t have laptops with us on the road.

This has been the worst Bluetooth headset I’ve ever had in my 20 years in trucking and the most expensive. Purchased 1 used ABs got so frustrated with it I just trashed it thinking maybe the seller got 1 over on me. I went and bought 1 brand new and this 1 is arguably worse. Dropped calls, sound just goes out while listening to music or watching videos online, randomly unsyncing after phone calls it’s just trash
