About
Photograph a defect. Get the finding.
BlueTape is built for the part of the job that happens on your feet: you are in somebody's crawlspace with a phone in one hand and a flashlight in the other, and the report is what stands between you and dinner.
Point the camera at what is wrong and take the shot. BlueTape marks the photograph, drafts the finding in standard inspection wording, and files it in the right section of the report. By the time you are back in the truck, the narrative is written.
HOW IT WORKS
• Open the job and shoot. The camera is already warm — no waiting, no menu.
• Each photograph is marked and described automatically, and lands in the correct report section.
• Record styles and materials as you go, with a list built for a thumb rather than a keyboard.
• Review every finding, change any wording, and produce the finished report.
IT WORKS WITH NO SIGNAL
Houses have basements, and basements have no bars. BlueTape keeps working: photograph findings, record materials, and move through the whole inspection offline. Photographs taken out of range are held safely on the phone and marked as waiting rather than failed — and the moment you have a signal again they upload and draft themselves, with nothing for you to tap.
IT LEARNS YOUR WORDING
Every inspector has their own way of saying a thing. Load your standard comments once and drafts come out in your house style. When you rewrite a draft, BlueTape keeps the correction and the next one reads more like you — within your own company, and never shared with anybody else's.
YOU ARE STILL THE INSPECTOR
Every draft is a draft. Nothing reaches a client until the licensed inspector has read it and confirmed it. That is a term of use, not a setting, and the report carries your name and your licence number because the judgement in it is yours.
WHAT YOU NEED
BlueTape is for licensed home inspectors and the companies they work for. Accounts belong to a company, and inspectors join by invitation from their company's administrator. A BlueTape company account is required.
