One Stop Fishing App
Blue Water Intel has quickly become one of the most useful tools I’ve found for planning offshore fishing trips. What really separates it from other fishing apps is how much information it pulls together in one place. Normally, you’re bouncing between several different apps looking at weather, water temperature, currents, tides, structure, and other conditions, and then trying to figure out what all of that actually means for the fish you’re targeting. Blue Water Intel does a lot of that work for you.
The bite scores are especially useful. You can choose your port and the species you’re targeting and get a much better idea of where you should be looking before you ever leave the dock. The waypoints are also a great resource for finding reefs, wrecks, structure, and areas that make sense for different types of fishing.
I also really like the Captain’s Brief. It takes everything happening on the water and turns it into something you can actually use to plan your day. Instead of just giving you a bunch of raw data, it helps answer the question every fisherman actually cares about: where should I go and what should I be prepared for?
For newer offshore fishermen, there’s a ton of information here that would normally take years on the water to learn. For experienced fishermen, it’s a great way to cross-check your own plan and potentially spot something you might have missed.
If you fish offshore, this is absolutely worth having.
