App size scaling is broken.

You cannot get past level 20 without some tiles being out of reach if you have a newer iPhone. The developer doesn’t bother updating their app, i do not recommend.

The game is entertaining but

Why is loss a “theme” that’s weird

screen gets cut off

Wonderful minimalist game for when you just want to have a short game to play. However, after a certain point, the squares get so wide that it gets cut off by my screen so that I am physically not able to advance in the game. I have an iPhone X and the game says its optimized for it but its really not. Would totally give a 5 star if it were not for that.

not sure if this is a bug

I was saving up for the lonely island theme and once I got over 500 coins I tried to buy it. it then told me I didn't have enough coins. I double checked my coin count again and it was 576. I restarted the app and it then said I had 476. I’m quite upset over the fact that I somehow lost 100 coins and I'm not even sure how because the goals I completed gave me the coins and it added up evenly to 576 not 476

Don’t get too invested

Once you get to the higher levels, part of the puzzles appear off screen, and you can’t pan or zoom to see them. So essentially you have to guess. If you can even swipe the tiles.

Not updated for XS Max

The game hasn’t been updated for the max sizes, so you can’t see the sides of the board. So once you get to about level 24 or so, there’s no way to win.

Really fun game

This is a great puzzle game. I really enjoy challenging myself to avoid sets of 3.

One note, sometimes on my XS, the tiles shift so they're wider than the phone screen and I can barely touch them. Definitely can't see them, and am blind guessing if they are 1 or2 dots.

Great game otherwise.

Option to move screen?

Why are the puzzles set up so that some of the dice are just out of reach on the sides of the screen? Is this optimized for an iPad or something? Very frustrating!

Makes you lose

Not registering my touch so keeps ending my game with a loss. Trying to trick you into paying to redo the level that you would have won if the game worked. Rigged!!

Great puzzle game

Great themes and music, puzzles are great and provide a nice challenge, just wish the themes in the pictures were in the game

Blyss

Love the game but some issues with iPhone X. After a while the “dices” don’t completely appears inside the screen, making it hard to continue playing. Hope this get fixed soon

Best game!!!

There are no ads, it’s so smooth and pretty, and it’s fun to play. What’s there not to like?

An Underrated Puzzling Gem.

Blyss:

Blyss is incredibly challenging and addicting, with pleasant themes and ways to play to suit its clever and simplistic puzzles. The game relies on a blend of strategy and experimentation which offers a unique way of thinking in each level. There are a couple of modes and difficulties to choose from to comfort the player with slow progression or puzzles which you must solve in a short amount of time. It's a game I was genuinely excited to play after long periods of time away from it. I downloaded it when it was the free app of the week, but after playing it, I figured out it is well worth paying a dollar for.

With so many popular games rising in the puzzle genre on the App Store, this is one is definitely underrated and is worth that extra dollar in your pocket.

Response from developer

We're glad you've liked Blyss so much. We'll be adding new themes in the next 2 weeks or so. Hope you have a great time with those.

Great but not...

I agree with the person who said that it misreads the swipes. It happens to me ALL THE TIME. I even sent a note to developers.

I stopped playing. Got too frustrating.

Response from developer

Tried a whole lot of things. Hopefully the next update should take care of this. I'm personally losing my hair because of this crazy issue. Weird thing is, it's not a problem for most people and the occurrence is rare. Trying our best. Hopefully it works. Apologies for all the inconvenience.

Nice puzzle game

Though really short on actual progression and content, I'd like a story mode with actual levels tbh. I've played for 2 days and already beaten playground mode. The game itself is also tricky as in I haven't even hit level 25 and passed the 2nd set of challenges yet. Bleh.
Very glitchy too.

Fun, but misreads swipes a lot

Getting kind of frustrating. At least before with ads you could keep going for free. Now, when it matches 3 (instead of the 4 I actually selected) I end up having to start over. It's not a huge percentage of the time that it misreads the swipe, maybe 5%. But even that is enough to ruin what was a good run.

A quick fix would simply be a single "undo" option - specifically at the end of the game. I'm uninstalling for now. Games like this are supposed be relaxing and satisfying.

[update, responding to dev] I was using this on my iphone 7 plus and many mis-read swipes, but i did have fewer issue on my ipad pro 12.9. But it's really too big of a screen for the game. Glad to see the developer listens to feedback though, bumping up a star.

Another alternative way, that avoids needing an "undo" would be an optional "confirm" button for untimed modes, or a "submit" button somewhere on the side - so you highlight with a swipe, then tap. i think it could still be very fast to play. Lastly, perhaps there is just a sensitivity problem in the software itself, as I play many games and use many apps and have not run into this issue before, yet it was very

Let us think about this "undo" option. Few of the players have mentioned it to us but at the same time a lot of the players are against it as they feel the game is simple enough. Could you tell us which iphone/ipad you're playing the game on? We'll test it again.

Worked for 2 days

Now the screen goes black a second after the home menu loads. Beautiful screens but dislike starting over at level 0 every time I need to pause a phone game. Fat finger issues are a problem here. Fun the first couple hours after download. A solid three stars if it would work, but since it doesn't... Meh.
*Updated due to developer contact. (Appreciated, I just never check that account.) i5, ios7.1.2. The email was do not reply so I'm just updating my review. The game dl and opens fine ATM but tbh I just don't want to start the game over again. From one star to three.

Response from developer

Hello. This shouldn't be occurring. Even if you shut it down when you're in the middle of a session, the game should resume from that particular level. If you can provide us with some details about this issue, including the circumstances under which it has happened and the device, OS you're playing it on. we'll get to the bottom of this issue and fix it.

Ads

The game is a cute little brain-teaser, maybe a little repetitive at first but the boards do get more challenging.

HOWEVER, every time you don't finish a board, you are forced to either go back to the beginning of that series of boards, or watch an ad to try the same board again (at least I assume that's what "continue" means, I'm not going to subject myself to an ad just to find out.)

I would pay a dollar, maybe two, to never have to see ads at all. But until this happens, the game isn't compelling enough to put up with the ads. Deleted for now.

Response from developer

Hello, The problem is fixed. You not longer have to watch ads to continue anymore. It was meant to be this way right from the start but a simple line of code can mess a lot of things up. With the new update, you have the option to watch the ad(which you don't want to) or use the in-game currency, which you will earn by playing the game. Hopefully you return and stay long enough to witness the upcoming summer update. Regards, Team Dropout

Beautiful design and music, repetitive gameplay

REVIEW UPDATE:
First, thanks to the developer for the feedback, I hope the studio works well to improve the game in the future. That being said, after the last update, I had to drop my rating from 3 to 1 stars due to the terrible monetization which was included. As of now, it is extremely hard to accomplish tasks and progress further into the game, unless you watch long advertisements of other games every time you fail a level. In case you watch the ads however, you can simply keep going forever, getting as high scores as you like. This is not how a premium app should look like. I suggest you work on balancing the difficulty and getting rid of the ads altogether, if you plan on offering this game as a paid app.

**************************

I got this game as a free app of the week on the iTunes Store. Blyss is a beautiful Zen puzzle, which has simple mechanics but often requires good planning of the future moves. The first 20-30 minutes are very entertaining. You get to unlock few new themes, play modes, etc. However, soon after the game starts becoming a bit repetitive and doesn't even try to motivate you to play further. The difficulty level of the tasks you need to perform increases too rapidly (30lvl Time Attack?), and also there are not new gameplay mechanics introduced later in the game. All of this kills any incentive to play, which is unfortunate considering the neat idea, and beautiful design and music.

Hello. This is happening due to a bug and delay in update. We've pushed out a new update which would probably take 2 days or so to resolve the issue. With the new update, ads would be completely optional and the only time you'd be watching them is when you actually want to and there's a proper time period to it. Hopefully this would change your opinion about the game. We apologize for any inconvenience you've faced.

Loved how they made the songs make someone's life

I love the amazing music and the art style is very good, but what really one me over was how the songs made a person's life, like how he got a wife, then they had a son, then they got old and she died, but then his son grew up and he had a grandson, and then had hope, it was just really amazing, I'd give it more stars if I could
