Eradicating Global Hunger is a dire cause in today’s world. According to a
report by UNICEF, four out of ten children are facing malnutrition which
prevents them from growing at a normal pace and causes many effects on
their health & wellbeing. This is just one side of the story, if we look at the
other side we find that around 36 million tons of food are wasted annually in
Pakistan in terms of food served at weddings, parties, and hotels.
According to a report of World Food Programme, it is estimated that 43% of
our population faces a shortage of food and among these 18% percent faces
severe food crisis. This leads to many health and mental issues of the young
generation such as malnutrition of children, shortening of bones, children not
growing up properly, and most importantly the health of a young mother and
child.
Be My Guest – BMG powered by SocioOn, comes up as a solution and need of
the hour to eradicate hunger, shelter the homeless, and promote the vision
of an empathetic community lifestyle in our society. BMG is a new venture of
SocioOn (Pakistan’s National Social Media & Business Network) which highly
emphasizes feeding the hungry and sharing food with one another rather
than wasting it.
