Completely unbelievable how unhealthy

I am aware that my BMI is high. Hence the reason I downloaded the app to work on regaining my health. However, the app is literally giving me a diet of under 900 cal a day, which is literally so unhealthy for the human body. My doctor was absolutely appalled that it would suggest something like that. As someone who had an eating disorder, and hence the reason my weight has always fluctuated, I am shocked that anything would be allowed like that on the App Store. It’s literally the blueprint for encouraging eating disorders.
