Advertising is one thing in an app, but non-apple apps that are "free" but require an apple id sign in to work? No thanks.

First day with this BMI app and filled everything in I hope I donโt have to do this every day.

They say they donโt gatherer data but the very first thing you must do is sign up which is data gathering. I deleted app immediately. If they lied so obviously, what else might they be hiding?
