Needs more functionality
It’s a good start but there is no way to import your BGG data easily (or at all). It also needs more users to be useful and some transparency as to how the privacy settings are enabled. I’m happy to let people know that there is a board gamer in the area but I don’t want my location details to be transmitted forever either.

Can’t change location?
I moved recently, and I can’t for the life of me figure out how to change my location.

I want to love this...
This has serious potential and is really polished but it crashes constantly especially when reviewing collections which is the whole point for me.
I hope someone takes the time to optimize this and get it rock solid. This could be incredible.

It's good but...
I like the app a lot it's pretty and user friendly. I was able to find one board gamer and we ended up being really good friends. Some issues I have is that when you import your games a lot of them for some reason doesn't have images on them. Having images sometimes jogs people memories of they have seen that game before or played it but couldn't remember the name. Second thing I would do is have more advertisements for it and put it on forums and FB pages. Overall great app I'm hoping it will pick up speed soon so we can make new friends and game more!

App is great, and almost completely useless.
It's very polished and has most of the features I'm looking for. The UI is smooth, connects to my BGG account, and it's free!
A couple downsides:
-Nobody uses it. I happened to stumble upon a Reddit post that mentioned it, otherwise I wouldn't know it exists. When I signed in there was one other person in my area, and they have yet to answer me 2 weeks later.
-It only shows users who've checked in. Not game stores (FLGSs), events, or libraries/cafés that offer board gaming. And once someone's checked in, they stay checked in and are quite possibly not even using the app anymore.
I like the idea of the app, and it looks great. I just haven't successfully used it yet.

Pytanie. Czemu tak słabo rozreklamowaleś apkę np fb grupy planszówkowe czy forum. Czym nas więcej tym weselej ;) Nie widzę tez kontaktu do was z informacją zwrotną. Pozdrawiam i trzymam kciuki !
Potentially great app
This will need more users to be useful for most, (as of March, 2017) but with a broader base of users, this could be an invaluable resource. One hitch is the inability to delete games off your list once they are added. Otherwise, it is well set up. *EDIT* The ability to delete games is there, just not immediately obvious to old geezers like me.

Why does it need a big advertisement push?
1. Too few people on the map, and I live in Orange County.
2. When I search the app name, "Board Gamer" on the ios store it comes about 20th in line after all these annoying sodoku apps. The app needs a more unique name to be bumped up, so more people can download it and connect!

1. BGG collection download is amazing! Except it doesn't work. I always seem to have problems connecting to BGG even when I check to the website and it isn't under maintenance.
I want to use and love this app, but people need to know about it first!

Great app showing local board gamers in your area so that you can arrange meetups etc. It also allows you to list your games so you could see who you'd be most interested in playing with. I recommend the app does some advertising on BGG or online board game stores because the only thing missing now is more users! Thanks for the great app.

Very clean and useful app.
This app is simple and effective. I like that you can see "checked in" players on that map and message them. I would recommend it to any board gamer.

Seems like this is a good initial launch for the app but there's a lot more potential.
I have friends around the US that I'd like to play board games with. There are tons of great board games on iOS so there should definitely be an option to add your Game Center creds to your profile. This would add another dimension to the app... Still allowing you to see who else is around/online, but you wouldn't necessarily need to meet up to play the game. You could play instantly! I think that expands the scope of the app and would really help build a bigger board gamer community!
I don't know if there are notifications on this app but you NEED to follow Periscopes lead on this. When people are connected or following others, they should get a notification whenever one of their connections come onto the app.
Hopefully there are plans to develop this further!

Good Start
Good start. You should promote it on BGG to get a community. And please improve profiles: separate field for website (interesting for bloggers etc.). And a must: connect BGG game collection, because I can't add all 300+ games manually. Or at least allow CSV import because BGG exports CSV.

Bardzo fajna aplikacja do budowania własnej biblioteki gier i szukania graczy do wspólnego planszowkowania. Czytelna i co ważniejsze bez reklam ;)
